@hector530 They're not regulating games here. They're trying to enforce the ESRB which is already in place. They want to educate parents why it's a bad idea to buy their kids Call of Duty instead of something more age appropriate. There is nothing else going on here, no stopping free speech.
I enjoyed the multiplayer a lot. I started playing it after I had finished the single player. I enjoy trying to unlock everything. I also really enjoyed the year-long (free) support they gave the game. If people don't like the multiplayer, don't play it. It didn't change the single player at all for me by not playing it until after I finished the story.
@acerx7 I never even looked at the MP until after I finished the SP story. I got the optimal ending without a problem. I just did every side mission I could. It was nice and actually added a lot to the game for me. If you had to play the multiplayer, you obviously didn't put enough time in the single player to begin with.
It's not even all about buying used games. I like taking games over to friends' houses, letting them borrow them, and borrowing my friends' games. If a new system will not let me do that, then I will not get that system.
I honestly don't understand all the hate Kevin gets for his reviews. It's not like he said "Aliens: Colonial Marines: 4.5/10 because I just don't really like it." He always has valid reasons for his scores and grades games pretty fairly. If he reviews a game at 7+ I trust that it will truly be worthwhile.
