The 360 has failed to prove it's a terribly reliable machine, period, in whichever position you put it. I've never had my system so much as skip, but the 30% failure rate they're reporting is unbelievably bad, so there was obviously an issue with the way the thing was built in the first place. Just because you and I are lucky enough not to have had something happen doesn't mean it still couldn't, horizontal or vertical.
:P I wouldn't say "lucky" regarding my xbox, I am sending it in for repairs for the second time now. And I had it placed horizontally, but I feel I could be risking more than just the xbox by having it placed vertical. Cause it has to be placed one wayor the other right?

depends on the song. If its materialistic and degrading with the same annoying casio-beats repeated again and again and again, as most of it is nowadays, then no.
