I am getting some videos on a different video player then the regular one , it makes me feel like i am back in the year 2000 , it has no way to change size or quality and it doesn't remember my sound options , is anybody else having the same problem ?

My question is this : i have a european ( PAL) xbox 360 i know that the PAL version of the game ( Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance) is not backwards compatible with xbox 360 but the north american version is , so can i play the north american version on my european xbox , essentially i want to know if region locks cross over console generations ?
