You should defenitely get a gaming mouse if you plan to play games. You get way faster response and more precise controls. Deathadder is a nice mouse, but razer stuff breaks easily according to my experience. You can't go wrong with a logitech, for instance a G9X. I myself use a swedish mouse, mionix naos 5000. http://www.mionix.net/page.php?al=naos5000. Its their top of the line model and i like it a lot. When you look for a keyboard remember to check how well they handle ghosting, ie how many buttons you can press at the same time. Logitech G series, razer tarantula and microsoft sidewinder are excellent at that.

Or just buy one now when it is still avaible, they always tend to run out of consoles during the holidays. Just a side note, if you are as used to PC gaming as I am you can't stand the framerate on many multiplatform games. Exclusivew tend to have a decent framerate though, except killzone 2 in multiplayer, framedrops 24/7.

Matchmaking with servers is the best system. L4D2 for PC has it.

What makes an online FPS successfull is a good framerate with no lag controls. From the looks of the videos I have seen the game have a bit problems with keeping up the framerate, especially the one TC posted. I hope the finished game work more smoothly, how was the framerate in KZ2? Below average?

Defenitely MW2 on my PC. Had a lot of fun with MW1 on xbox, TF2 on xbox sucked, but I never liked it that much on PC either.. Halo is just halo for me and BC2 (PC) simply wasn't as fun as MW2, I love the speed and satisfaction of killstreaks. Don't have any FPS games for my PS3 yet, so I have no idea how fun they are.

That is right, you lose the game when you give it to your friend, just like in real life. You can borrow games to your trusted friends by borrowing them your steam account., don't sure if it is allowed though, I have never done it.

[QUOTE="Indie_Hitman"]Send it to a friend? But then you've got nothing, just pointless friends... Decent connection? what if we can't afford it?

I was refering to the quote below. You are not stuck with a game forever, you can send it to a friend if you don't like it. That was how I got my Half-Life 2. If you can't afford a decent connection and don't want to wait for the slow downloads, well, then you miss something fun.

digital distribution is awsome! If you by stalker and find otu you don't like it, too bad you're stuck with it forever,

If you don't like a game you bought from steam you can send it to a friend. It doesnt take 12 hours to download a game if you have a decent connection, I do it within an hour for a full game like GTA IV or MW2. Steam have offers all the time. What I'm saying is that you people should try these offers. Me and my friends got L4D2 before the summer of a steam offer and got it up and running within an hour. I'm not saying it is impossible for four guys living in separate towns to all go to a local store to pick up L4D2 and have it running within an hour, I just think it is pretty unlikely to happen. We did the same with GTA IV, altitude (great game!) and team fortress 2. Big release games are nice to buy from retail, I just think it is unecessary to ignore a service like this, considering the possibilities it offer. I can understand many of you console only users don't like to buy full retail games for you xbox from live, because of the limited harddrive space and way too high prices. Just don't think it is the same for PC (I assume this since we mainly speak about steam). I'm sure there are many console users that love xbox live arcade and PSN games, make your voices heard in this topic! The ones of you that haven't downloaded any yet should really try out the games and see what they have to offer! Edit: Spelling

You get multiple licenses on PSN, four I think. I'm not saying it is the only way to go, what I'm trying to say that people that have never used it should try and download a game. There are many very good special offers out there. For instance Steam have 75 percet off on Stalker and its expansion right now, 7,5€ is a very good deal! Too bad some of you have to go to the store to buy points, that ruins the point of digital distribution. You should get a good credit card that can handle paying online

I see many people here that haven't realized how good digital distribution is. Recently I read: "is it that hard to drive to the store to pick the game up?" No, it is not hard, but digital distribution makes buying games more spontantaneous. The condition for this is that the digital distribution have to be well inplemented in the system, examples of this are steam and xbox live, where you see the offers and new games everytime you play. PSN and Wii aren't as good, since you have to go to the store to see the games. You and your friends can buy a new game in a matter of minutes and have it installed in a moment ready for online play. To do the same by going to the store is more of a hassle, since all of your friends might not have time or the possibility to go to the store at the moment, and you are never sure if they have the game in stock, especially if it's an old game.
