Steinberger's forum posts
I have no faith in the GameSpot raters. I've only agreed with them on game ratings maybe 10 times out of at-least 600 games. I still think it's ridiculous that the RE4 port scored higher than Metroid prime because prime wasn't different enough from the other two.
Personally I think it will probably score just under Metroid in gameplay but overcome it with it's online multiplayer added into the score. I know I'm looking forward to it if it's as good as it's hyped up to be. Vanguard still has, in my opinion, the best control scheme for an FPS on the Wii yet, so if they can work that over into Heroes with a little more sensitivity I'll be more than happy.
I agree that it is only a matter of time before the Wii game isles will be swimming in generic violent fps's so people who want those games it will just be a matter of time. many developers have been cutting development for the other consoles to increase the number of developers working on Wii games so game choice won't be a problem by probably this time next year.
I like violent games just as much as the next person, well maybe not as much as some people. I just think that violence is not a requirement for a good game...
[QUOTE="Steinberger"]I've always noticed people who buy games explicitly because they have a large amount of gore generally tend to be immature. If you can't enjoy a game like Metroid Prime 3 because it doesn't have enough gore probably means you are a little kid(at-least mentally). Most mature people would buy a game for it's game-play not for it's taboo value. If you don't believe me, then why is Super Smash Bros the most played games in any college. Why would a game where the developers went out of their way to not use the word kill in the game be one the most popular games for older players? What the Wii needs isn't more "mature" games, but more mature players.Buffyverse_Fan

My point was just proven again. To resort to childish name calling, due to a difference of opinions...
