I think programmers leave them out more often these days because of more frequent online play and the fact that data is stored in one big massing. Cheat codes could occassionally corrupt data, cause glitches, and general mayham even when not intended or designed to work in such a way.
Or at least that happened a lot last gen and the one before.
All I can say is that if a cheat code scrambled my hard drive data like a Denny's Grandslam I'd be pissed.
Nintendo needs to get crackin, I love my Wii but I mainly use it for VC games and the like (Which was one of the selling points for me) but honestly I would like a few more quality games.
It has the owner base, now it just needs a few solid pieces of software to build the tower.
Oh wait, I already bought a Wii and a 360...Well I guess I could buy a ps3 too, but 600 is kinda expensive and its not like I really need something to keep the papers and **** from blowing around and off my desk. Nah I'll pass.
