One thing I wish the reviewers had done would be to test a pair of these in crossfire and see how it measures up to the 1070. 2 of these cards are less expensive than 1x 1070 currently by approx $100. With that said, I wonder if the performance would be better than 1x 1070. That for me would cinch the deal as most mainboards have 2-3 Pcie-x16 slots on them nowadays anyway. I hope they put those numbers out because I think it might be the way to go if considering upgrading the video card or building a new box.
@Zorax99 I really like WOW as well. I am playing Wildstar and it is actually a lot of fun. Pretty immersive as well. I will be getting and playing the new WOW expansion day 1. So many fun games and so little time to play them all for this working stiff. I guess there will be plenty of late nights ahead.
I'm surprised it didn't score higher. I am really enjoying it. Played a lot of MMO's and I must say that this one should rank up with the best of them. But then again, I liked WOW so I guess I am easy to please.
I call BS. How did they login from another ip without having to enter the authenticator #. You either didn't set it up right or you are not telling the whole story. Please explain how ones account can get hacked with an authenticator. I orignally played WOW without the authenticator and my account was hacked. Blizzard gracefully restored my account and I the added an authenticator. 2 years have gone by with active battlenet usage for WOW, Starcraft, and now Diablo 3. No attempts at hacking my account as there is no way thbrough the "locked door" that is the battlenet authenticator.
I agree with this editorial completely. I would say though that at the end of the day, software/game development is a business. With that said, a company like Bioware didn't get to where it is today by making too many poor choices around their game(s) mechanics. The reality is that if a game were developed that reflected the ideas Ms. Hepler has suggested, and it didn't sell well, I would imagine the formula would be scrapped in lieu of what would sell ie:what the "gamers" are wanting. I would also like to say that the gamers who made the unwarranted verbal attacks against Ms. Hepler really are who they are. No sense trying to rollback the floodwaters as they have already put it out there. Lot's of people are self centered, uncaring, and cruel. Part of the "human" equation I'm afraid. I wonder if they would get as riled up over "real world" isues to the same degree. In any event, I am glad that companies like Bioware bring so much entertainment to us through all their hard work. Wow! A lot of really un-useful banter about which is which and my rig is better than your rig etc... I have a great solution that has worked well for me. Make your C:\ drive a dual partition and have both Xp and Vista installed. This way you can enjoy the best of both DX9 and DX10 games. I also like the fact that if I have any compatibility issues with any of the titles that don't seem to like Vista, I can easily boot into the Xp partition and Game On! Hope this quell's the argument.
