The Frustration aside, I'm not upset really about how hard this was to complete. I'm upset about the fact that I did it all for nothing. I have all the bronze trophies for beating each level on verteran but not the one for beating the game on Veteran? How is that even possible. How the hell could the developer screw something up like that?

Okay. I really need to vent right now. I really hope there is no one else in my house at the moment or their life might be in danger. As you can probably tell, I'm pretty f**king pissed off. Currently, I'm playing Call of Duty: World at War. Great game. It's not as good as COD4 in my opinion but still great. Up until today, I had gotten every trophy in the game except for the ones for completing each level on verteran, the overall beating the game on verteran one and obviously the platinum. So today I started playing on verteran and let me say one thing. It's not a fun experience. Not at all. The increased accuracy of the enemy and the fact that it takes 2 shots to kill you should be enough for a good challenge.

But oh no, not with Treyarch. They have to go to whole new levels of cheapness to the likes of which I've never seen. Hordes of Enemies that target you and you alone while dozens of your squadmates are all around you. I've seen Enemies run past my teammates just go get to me. Oh and did I mention the grenades? You are constantly spammed with wave after wave after wave of grenades it honestly makes you wonder how they could carry so many and how they are shooting while throwing all of them. They can drop a grenade in your pocket from 50 meters away. And last but not least. The HORRID checkpoint system. There were times where I walked 30 ft and got 2 or three checkpoints in that span. And there were other times where I had to go through massive firefights, dying again and again and again, simply because there were no checkpoints for many many minutes at a time.

Despite nearly pulling my hair out and breaking the controller, I finally managed to go through the entire game on Verteran. It felt amazing. Amazing. Until about 2 seconds after I beat it, I realized that despite getting my last "beat this level on verteran" trophy, I did not get the one for completting the game on veteran. Well, isn't that grand? Hours and Hours and Hours of hair pulling frustration for nothing? Needless to say, I'm not very happy right now. I'm not really sure I'll ever put this game into my game console again or ever buy anything from Treyarch again. Simply sickening and ridiculous.

How do you have all that money to pay for your stuff at 18?? When I was in high school and around graduation I was playing sports for my high school and never had too much time for a job, at least one that could pay for all of htat stuff.SamuRai_JeDi

Working as much as possible. I'm doing monthly payments on the HD-PVR and the laptop so that's not too bad. But when I wanted my HDTV. I saved for two years for it, working as much as I could, espeicially on the weekend, helping my dad out, setting up display booths for car shows and things like that. Hard work but good money ($20+ an hour). Now that I finally got the new TV/sound system, I'm not working quite as much, relaxing a bit, enjoying the HD gaming.

Eh. That's great? You dont really have much to brag about in this case then. Maybe you should get your parents on here and getthem to do the braging for you. xD And no offense, Toshiba Regzas are great TVs, but they are not on the same level as a High end Sony XBR or even a high end Samsung. I just uploaded my pictures to my photobucket so if you want to see, click the link in my sig?

well i paid about 2000$ of that 5000$ SO!!!! YEAH

Lol. I payed for all $10000+ worth of electronics/games that I own. And I'm only 18. You dont have much to be proud of, my friend. x]

I pretty much agree with this. I have a 32" Toshiba Regza (720p, unlike the fancy 1080p ones that surfaced this year), but while they may not be as good, i find they are easier to configure than Samsungs. The contrast is probably the downfall of my model, but i have it configured so that i'm happy with the tones of colours. But hey, you get what you pay for i guess :P When i bought mine, i was choosing between a 26" Sony Bravia, or my 32" Regza... for the same price.

Eh, I think you made the right choice. A low-mid range Sony and Toshiba should be about the same in terms of feature quality and picture. I'd choose the Regza too if those were my two choices, because I think I'd rather have the bigger screen. You can get 32" with 1080p now but it's not really worth it at that size because you'd have to have your face pressed up against the screen in order to tell the difference. 1080p is great though, when you upgrade from your current HDTV, definetely go 1080p. About a year ago I was going to buy a 40" 720p, but I decided to save for one more year and got the 52" 1080p. Worth it, in my opinion anyway, because I do alot of Blu-ray movie watching aswell.

You know youre a t r o p h y w h o r e when you would play through that crapfest of a game 3 freakin' times just to get the platinum. Playing that game for more than 10 minutes should automatically grant you the platinum trophy and an appointment to a psychiatrist.

Once again, its okay if your home theatre rapes mine. Im not here to start a pissing contest with someone on the internet. I said I was just kidding in my first post anyway. I think I'm doing pretty decent for an 18 year old who payed for everything themselves. And its a pretty substantial upgrade from the 27" SDTV and no surround sound that I was using before. I'm happy with it. xD

The pics aren't showing? That's wierd. xD And, thats cool if your PC rapes mine. Mine is a laptop that is less than an inch thick and weighs about 4lbs. :P Of course its not going to have the processing of a desktop PC. Out of curiosity, what kind of TV do you have?

Congrats and welcome to gaming in HD. I remember this summer when I finally upgraded to my HDTV from my crappy 27" SD tube TV. Ahhh, getting your first HDTV, its a moment you remember for a lifetime. :P
