This stuff is solely for new PC's, really. If you have an older PC (like me; mine is about 5 years old), you need to consider the following: 1. Running a defrag of your computer. It can make even old machines start working like new again. 2. If you have a good enough cooling system, consider overclocking your CPU. You can find a nearly infinite number of ways to do this on Google. 3. Do an occasional virus scan of your computer; you might be surprised at the number of small things that get through even with the best antivirus software. Small things like that can "sap" your processing power. 4. Consider programs that take up less processing power if you like to do things as you play games; if you can find a music player that takes up less power to run than iTunes but works just as well, use it. They might not look as good, but it should be worth the trade-off.
