@BlackRomero @SilenceLasting LMAO. Ok now I understand what you meant, and 100% agree. I am only 22, but have had a passion for gaming since a young age (like 6), and can remember first playing Doom and Terminator (The Bethesda one, which I still have on my shelf) and thinking that this is what I want to do, I want to make games worth playing like these. I hope to finish my degree and hopefully work on an indie game of my own, and if all goes well have a stable game job lol. I already work for a AAA studio doing QA work on an upcoming title so I somewhat have my foot in the door lol. I see games that come out now and am appalled at what is considered to be a good game now. I piked up the new Walking Dead game hoping for a good fun experience, and what I get is a CRAP ripoff "AAA" game that is solely relying on the craze of zombies fan-dome for it's sales instead of the actual quality of the game.

FACT: Most head game designers and develops Major in Computer Science in general, not in Game design.
FACT: Most game companies admit to hiring people who are from the computer field not the game field.
Now, while that is messed up, WHERE CAN YOU GET A GAME DEV EDUCATION? ONE THAT DOES NOT COST $40k+ A SEMESTER AND IS A RELIABLE INVESTMENT!???
^This is the problem. I want to be a game developer, mainly a designer, but cannot afford to move to LA or Miami and pay $30-50K a semester for a degree. I instead am going for Programming and Analysis and hope to go from there on my own.
I love that months after the fact they tell us that they have had this "spreadsheet" and immediately link it to videogames. If there is ACTUALLY a spreadsheet like that it is obvious that gamers are not the concern of the police and media, but we should be locking up all of our accountants and economic majors, since according to this logic they are going to spreadsheet all sorts of horrible shit apparently.
@tionmedon I bought my PS3 just for The Last of Us. And so far it seems that the new consoles will come right after that game. I feel that most if not all games will start to also come out on PC. IF I decide to get a console it would be the new Xbox.
I feel that Microsoft has a hold on the future of consoles, but that overall they will die off as PC becomes more popular (That it already is). I was a huge XBox fan and have played on PC as well but don't think I will invest in the next consoles because I already have a computer that is most likely more powerful.
