My apologies if this has been covered but I can't read through 12 pages of posts. It seems processor wise the PS4 and XB1 use very similar processors. Last gen the PS3s custom CPU was notoriously difficult for developers to deal with. Should I think this gen will be different? I'm thinking of going PS4 but I spend a lot of time and money playing Bethesda RPGs and we all know how much of a disaster that was on the PS3. I can deal with waiting for BF4 DLC but the inevitable Fallout 4 or next Elder Scrolls being an unholy mess would really upset me. I know there will always be differences in shading and textures and whatnot but can anyone speak intelligently on the liklihood of a mutiplatform game being DRASTICALLY different from one console to the next? I'm not trying to start a war here I'm just trying to figure which console will meet my needs.

Because I don't own a gamecube. And I'm pretty sure Twin Snakes was a port of MGS. I could be wrong. I'm referring to Metal Gear for the NES.

[QUOTE="Sheepdog1744"]

I heard from a guy who knows a guy that saw Kojima on a subway car in Tokyo who said they are going to reveal a new service that will allow you to hire a guy who will dress up like Big Boss to come to Bar Mitzvahs and graduation parties. For an additional fee, he will choke people out. Awesome.

SonicDivision

See, there in lies the problem. What about all the female gamers and their BAT Mitzvahs? Stupid sexist japanese.

A valid point. But who are we to critique the culture of our friends across the Pacific? They gave us Ninja Warrior for God's sake. You get some latitude when you share a gem like that.

Personally I hope its a remake of Metal Gear. And I don't care what system it is on because I have a 360 and a PS3. So unless its for the Wii (which I sold) I'll be fine. Of course with Kojima the shenanigan factor is usually high so lets not get too excited. It will probably only release on the Neo Geo.

When he included the Sega Saturn in the list he tipped his hand to the fact that he's either messing with you all, a complete moron, or that he is from an alternate parallel dimension where the Saturn was awesome.

And that's a fact. Case closed. End of discussion. Booya!

I scream "More Cowbell" with a Christopher Walken accent. That usually does the trick.

Okay I read your post again (i'm tired cut me some slack). No HDMI. No problem. I used to have one too until RROD #2. On your cable set for the 360 there should be a small square plug. Thats your optical. Buy the $20 cable and your in business. And surround sound will change your gaming experience, believe me.

I do not proclaim to be an expert but here are the basics. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken.

You will need (want) hi-def (if you have an HDTV) cables to connect your Xbox to your receiver and then to your TV. I suggest HDMI if you have an Xbox with an HDMI port. HDMI to receiver "in" and then HDMI from the receiver to the TV. HDMI will carry the hi def video and the 5.1 audio signal (but see discaimer below). Make sure your settings on your Xbox reflect the connections. Configuring your receiver is sometimes tricky. Consult the manual.

No hi-def TV? No HDMI Xbox?

You'll want component cables if u can and if not then basic composite. You will NEED an optical cord to carry the 5.1 signal from the Xbox to the receiver. I can't rember what receiver brand you have. Some receivers will not transmit 5.1 audio over an HDMI cable. You have to use a separate optical cable. Lame, but true.

Gonna have to go with the "Little Rocket Man" achievement from The Orange Box. What makes it great is that it is completely useless from a gameplay standpoint. Its a prolonged exercise in frustration. The driving sequences were insanely difficult, especially when you were getting shot at. "The One Free Bullet" is a close second though. It was easier, however, and more fun.
