This is why I NEVER want to work in the game industry. The fan base is absolutely rabid - look at Mass Effect 3, yes, the ending was terrible, but some fans took that WAY too far. Not to mention DEATH THREATS that some people get for balance changes. It's nuts.

Alright guys, hear me out.

How about we fire every employee who ever rated a game low on every website, and replace them with people who give them all 10s. Clearly we shouldn't care about someone's opinion, so I think this would work out pretty great.

We'd all get the confirmation bias we want, and game publishers and developers can feel good about themselves. Meanwhile, the people who play the games will be happy to know that the title they are playing scored a perfect score, so it must be absolutely fantastic.

If only a day like that could come...
