no it isn't. in a role playing game you assume the role of a character you create, you ARE the character, you control it's actions, it's speach, it's thinking pattern, you are in full controll of the character. The same can not be said for God of War or even most JRPG's.

An RPG is not about experience or level progression, an RPG is about choice and consequence, true there are other aspects like team work, but it mainly comes down to choice and consequence, be they from the way you choose to evolve you character or dialog/story choices

Funny, when I play ANY game I am the character. I control it and tell it what to do. Being about to create your own character has nothing to do with it. In both Rainbow Six Vegas' I can create my own character online and put my face on it with the live came. Does that make it more of an RPG than Oblivion since it can look just like me? A role playing game is a game where you take the role of someone or something to complete whatever objective you want to do at that time.

And you might be able to have choices between different dialog but you aren't in control of the character speech. Hell I never saw the option in ME to tell the person to shut the **** up because thats what I wanted to say. Most games give you the good choice, the evil choice and the one in the middle. Now that seems like a lot of options to me...

Funny I never remember creating a character in any Final Fantasy, Tales game or any JRPGs I've ever played. Only game I played like that is Oblivion. A role playing game is a game where you assume the role of something to play the game. GoW3 is as much of an RPG as FF13. People only see RPGs as games where you fight earn exp and lvl while progressing through a story line, which is 100% correct but it's only 1 aspect of what an RPG is. In both games you assume the role of a character to reach whatever objective you're trying to accomplish.

See, this is how Monster Hunter Tri should have been like. Huge open world with no loading screens every 10sec.

Oh, and if Nintendo for some reason would not release this in Europe I will not buy a single more first party Wii game.

I did that when they wouldn't give me Fatal Frame 4 in the states. But a fan group hacked subs into the game, so I imported it. I'll never but another new Nintendo product as long as I live. I'll give EB my money from now on!!!

Best: RE2 by far!

Worst: RE4 and RE5. These ain't even real RE games. Just some cheap action game with RE slapped on the cover. Capcom sold out. They took what made the RE series the RE series and flushed it down the drain. Now RE4 was an amazing game, don't get me wrong. I love it, but as part of the RE series is was awful!

I'm sorry but can you link me to the thread where we all agreed that the one holy list determined a games exclusivity? What happens if I create my own list and put Harlock in charge of it, and he's against it? Anyone can make a list and put it the way they want, but that doesn't make their list right now does it?
