Please be more mindful with the spoilers.

Across social media and external news sites this article had the title and a screenshot with Luke's face directly from the episode.

Couldn't even get to the spoiler warning within the article without it being completely spoiled.

My problem with this is that you can't go back later and buy older games that you missed out on the first time around. I'm still buying PS1, PS2 and Dreamcast games on ebay that are obviously not in stores anymore (aside from some PS2). Granted, some of these titles are available on PSN many are not. This is ignoring the fact that they don't come with artwork and cases. It's basically impossible to keep older game systems alive with restrictions like these.

This is long term thinking of course, as it wouldn't be in effect until PS4 games start fading into memory.

Then you either play what you have or get lucky finding brand new and sealed games. Consoles will die much quicker that way.

@001011000101101 @sireltonjohn The fact that nearly everyone has a multitude of problems with the ending in some form shows that they dropped the ball. To what degree is up to the player, but they certainly dropped the ball on this one. The actually story part of the ending as it is, even if you like it (I have no problem with it) is simply not fleshed out enough, and doing so 6 months (or more) later, is ridiculous. I don't want the ending released much later as DLC, I want it included in the game when I play it.

I agree with the point of the article, but Mass Effect 3 is a different case. For one, they are not changing the ending, only expanding on it (which they apparently wanted to do before the outcry). Also, it does not appear to be the developers "artistic vision" that the fans are unhappy with, but rather a somewhat sloppy (maybe even rushed), non-personalized (from choices) ending. The enjoyment is further diminished due to (*spoliers*) the, in my opinion, much warranted frustration caused by the readiness rating being tired to (whether Bio/EA admit it or not) multiplayer and mobile apps. This rating is pointless to the single-player game and directly affects whether you get the "perfect ending" and see Shepard live or not.

Mass Effect is a great series, and the players knew that and simply expected, and deserved, a personal ending that was solid, comprehensive, and not requiring some pointless mobile app or multiplayer runs to get the most of. This was not an artistic vision but a letdown.

As for the Doom change, this does seem to be a design choice, and one that doesn't affect the finale of a 3 game story arc. I'm more willing to accept that as an artistic choice and let it go. As long as they don't release a mobile app that you can purchase which allows you to mount the flashlight to your armor and receive a different ending.

You don't have to be an ass to be punk, which is what Fish sounded like. Suda was trying to sell something that he worked hard on and cared about, so it makes sense that he would want to make sure the event went well. Maybe he didn't trash and set fire to the bus, but in my opinion (and I wish I was getting paid for it as well), there is such a thing as an intelligent punk. If being an ass and saying stupid things is punk, then I think I'd prefer supporting a "non-punk" developer. Suda seems like a nice guy that makes interesting games, and for that he deserves our respect, not OpEd articles about the level of his punk-ness.
