Good stuff!!!!

I literally can't wait to play this!!! I have every version of Mario Kart so far, including the handheld versions,... this really does look to be the best one yet,... its great knowing you can go online as well,... either way, I am going to enjoy this immensely, and it will sit nicely alongside Super Mario Galaxy.

Does Captain Falcon deserve his own game? Well,.. check my avatar, and ask me again,.....:D

Seriously though,... I've always thought that the F ZERO series of games were perfectly honed examples of both game & character design,... just lke the MARIO games,... it was all about the gameplay, and immersing you in the universe,.. F ZERO on the SNES did this to such an affect that the game became an instant classic both with hardcore gamers and casuals alike.

Its for this reason that the following sequels, speficically F ZERO GX on the GAMECUBE were such successes in subsequent years,... both commercially & creatively. The SEGA team had such great foundations to work with, that with their expertise in racing games, and NINTENDO's flair for character design, it was alway going to be a hit.

If there was to be a Captain Falcon game, then I suspect Nintendo would bring SEGA on board yet again to ensure that it was a benchmark title,... infact, I would hope it would be a hefty mix of adventure & racing. Its something I imagine that is probably in the works, or at least in development stages in terms of exactly what genre they would slot this character into.

I have seen the game running in trailers & promotional videos,... however I have not had the chance to play it yet.

I mentioned in another thread how TEKKEN is, for me, is the best fighting franchise,... and I am highly anticipating TEKKEN 6. I was wondering, does it go back to the multi layered levels of TEKKEN 4?

I know many see this entry as one of the weakest, which baffles me, as I think it was as an extremely well balanced game, with good fighting mechanics, and absolutely incredible graphics,.. infact, visually, I thought it was far more accomplished than TEKKEN 5.

Anyway, to get back on subject, I am very interested to know whether TEKKEN 6 is more in the vain of TEKKEN 4 or not???!

I really don't see the problem here,... it was highly likely, in my opinion, that Microsoft would eventually bring out some sort of motion sensng device, cosidering both other machines have this as standard. I think it will bring an intersting dynamic to an already stellar back catalogue of games on the 360,... not to say you will be able to use it on older games, but that it will bring a different perspective and add a higher level of interaction to sequels of franchises that have already made their mark,.. GEARS OF WAR 2 with motion sensing??!!! I, for one, am highly excited about the prospects of what this brings.

i mean the the orignal xbox has better graphics then the wii. The wii has no good games cant play blue rays has crappy grpahics yet it is called a next gen console the only new thing they added was the controller which doesnt even work as good as most of us hoped. the only reason its selling so good is cause its cheap and all u wii owners cant afford proper next gen consoles like the 360 and ps3. not to mention the wii gets no good games its missin out on halo 3, gta4, god of war 3, killzone 2 ,gears of war 2 , mgs4 and the list goes on why would anyone be stupid enough to buy the wii unless ur 5yrs old u shouldnt?Fridaykillar19

I'm assuming, from this post, you are in the region of 12 - 15 years old,.... you are perfectly entitiled to your opinion on this matter, and nobody can change your mind, that much is clear,.... however, to asume that all "us" Wii owners are too poor to buy a "true" next gen machine, as you put it, is both ridiculous & immature. You are obviously looking for an angry reaction of some sorts from others, and I am in no doubt you are an extremely angry, frustrated individual who revels in others misery,... in time you will grow out of it, and most likely chuckle at the error of your ways.

Oh,... and by the way, I have a PS3, XBOX 360 & a Wii,... and I can tell you, without any hesitation, that both myself & my family get far more enjoyment and playtime out of the Wii than any other console,... and to those people who have chosen a Wii over the others, they are enjoying what they set out to do,.. play games,... not compare buffers & cel shading techniques.

Please,... try & act in a more mature manner,.. you will gain far more prespect from people.

It's amazing.

The ability to control your entire team on offense and defense really makes you finally feel fully in control.

The only negative I can find is that the defense isn't as strong as the offense. That means that you can have some uneven play until you fully learn the controls and compensate for it.

I'm not a fan of the actual sport but I do enjoy the game versions and this is the best soccer/football game I've ever played.

Cheers buddy,... I'm a huge footy fan,.. and I deeply want a game where you have full control over the team at any one time,.. this sounds fantastic!!!

I will buy this tomorrow after work,... can't wait now!!!!:D

I don't know much about it,.. I have PRO EVO 2008 for both PS3 & 36O,.... I hadn't thought of buying it to be honest for the Wii,... is it really that good?

I was having a discussion with some lads in the local yesterday,... and we got onto the discussion of the current gen machines,..... now I own all three consoles, and I enjoy all three,.... I have no preference at all. When asked which one they thought would die out first, 3 of them said the PS3, and 2 said the 360. These are lads who aren't avid gamers, but do however buy machines,... interstingly, the 2 who said 360 BOTH OWN A 360!!!

Personally, I have a feeling that the 360 will be the first to go,... simply because I think Microsoft will be the first off the mark to release another console,... however thats just my opinion. I have 12 games for my 360, 6 for my PS3, nd 6 for the Wii,.. as I said, I have no preference at all,... Microsoft just have a history of upgrading far quicker than most other companies as far as I can see.

So,.... thoughts????!!!:question:

Next to footie games, for me the fighting genre is easily the most enjoyable.

Let's see:

5) VIRTUA FIGHTER: Just bought it for the 360,... and found it identical to VF4. It wasn't very accessible, and the fighting mechanics just seem,... stiff. Also, everybody harps on about the graphics,... as far as I can see, the DEAD OR ALIVE series have consisitently been more impressive,... DOA4 is light years ahead graphically. Fighting games should be instantly accessible,... this isn't.

4) MORTAL KOMBAT: For pure entertainment, I rate this above the VF series,. yes its a total gimmick, the fighting mechanics are broken & cheap,.. but put a bunch of people in a room and have a tournament, they'll have a laugh with this,... I remember playing MK3 on the PS1,.... we used to have tournaments with all the kids on the street,.... I can't say the same for the VF series.

3) SOUL CALIBUR: I remember the first day I bought SOUL CALIBUR for the DREAMCAST,.... it was the first time since MARIO 64 I had been bowled over,... the fighting mechanics were too good to be true, and the graphics,..... well,.. suffice to say, neither SC2 or 3 have never surpassed the DREMACAST original's visuals,.... they were sumptious. Aother game which was popular with all my mates,.... a real crowd pleaser.

2) STREET FIGHTER: To this day, no other fighter has had such a perfect balance of characters,... and, for me, there is little more satisfying than igniting an haduken into your opponent's face,..... pure gaming bliss. SFII & 3RD STRIKE were masterpieces in gameplay mehanics,... and I imagine SFIV will revolutionise it yet again,.. if it doesn't, well, its perfect anyway.

1) TEKKEN: This is the fighter for me which has consistenly enertained me and brought many of my gaming buddies back again & again for just "one more go." You can say what you like about VF's deep, tactical gameplay,.... but put a bunch of people in front of VIRTUA FIGHTER5 & TEKKEN 5, and ask them which is more fun to play,.... I'm willing to bet the majority would back TEKKEN. Take DARK RESSURECTION on PSN,.... free online play,.... a huge amount of characters to select from,... and a fun fighting system thats accessible,.... as opposed to VF's laggy, unforgiving, stiff gameplay.

ALL MANAGER FOOTIE GAMES,...... I am a footie fanatic,.... but these games are, in my opinion, excrement of the highest order,... give me PES anyday!!!!8)
