It amazes me that people actually care about this. I mean, you're never going to notice a difference while actually playing the game, so who cares? It's just another excuse for the fanboys (in this case PC fanboys) to make claims of superiority. Play games, not platforms people, you'll be much happier... And a lot less annoying...

It's all irrelevant really. To get this kind of image quality on your PC at a decent frame rate with require a PC that costs an absolute fortune. Where as the Xbox 360 is ridiculously cheap. They're practically giving them away. Even where I live, in South Africa (where electronics usually cost a king's randsom), you can get a 360 Arcade for nearly the same price as a PS2! My point is, the price you'd pay for a high end PC isn't justifiable. Are graphics really that important anyway? Anyone remember gameplay?...
I just don't have the cash to keep up with the PC market, you need to spend a ridiculous amount of money to get any kind of performance. And the PS3 is just to complicated for it's own good, that's why we're not seeing games utilising its true potential, cause getting there is just to much work and not worth the effort for developers. The Xbox 360 is the best middle ground at the moment, not the most powerful, but cheap and most importantly it has the best games... Still want a PS3, just waiting for a drastic price drop...

Fanboys of all varieties, be them Xbox, PlayStation or othotherwise, need to learn to shut the hell up. Seriously, I can't stand fanboy idiots. Be a gamer, play games, not platforms...
These comparisons really are pointless. Few PlayStation 3 fanboys, make that none, will addmit the 360 is nearly, if not just as powerful as the PS3. Don't get me wrong, the PS3 is agraet system, just not that much more powerful. " And I'm saying it's not as simple as that!" Exactly, Forza 2 is known for it's slighty lasckluster visuals, but look at Project Gotham Racing 4. It's not quite as good looking as GT5, in terms of the car models mostly, but Polyphony has much more experience and I'm pretty sure a lot more money. I really hate fanboys, a real gamers plays games, not platformers...
Alot of people say the visuals in Halo 3 aren't that good, personally I think it's actually a very good looking game. While not innitially very impressive, I started to notice things as I began playing. The motion blur, animation, lighting, etc. And when it changes to third person Master Chief himself looks amazing, the armour is so well detailed. While it may not be Bioshock or Crysis, it has little details that make it impressive to look at. But in the end, the way it looks isn't that important, it's the way it plays. And Halo has finally reached the gameplay level I was expecting from the origional....
