If IGN loves nintendo so much, why do they have a large headline story saying they lost E3.

It's not the press being unfair with Nintendo, Nintendo is stumbling right now, and E3 didn't help.

@Eryxx @Feyd87 http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/02/01/ea-reveals-swtor-subscription-and-sales-numbers-beats-financial/

You should read more carefully, I'm not reporting anything that isn't public knowledge, it says right here in the article they reported normal AND trial accounts....

@Feyd87 I don't know what was reported at a shareholder meeting, but when they(EA) reported the 1.3 number, they also said the % of paying customers was higher. So it stands to reason that the 1.3 million number would also include free subs.

When they say subscribers to be profitable, they mean paid subscribers, the totals they are releasing include free accounts.

During a conference call, EA chief executive John Riccitiello noted that a higher mix of the “Star Wars” subscriber count is made up of paying subscribers than it was in the previous quarter. He also downplayed the significance of the title somewhat, noting that the company has bigger franchises that are more important to its overall business.
