@Verityrant No, I'm not. Now you have just lied about someone whom you know nothing about.
As I have said in another reply to you, I am simply an old gamer who has played a lot of games and I just happen to disagree with this review. It deserves at least an 8. I gave it an 8.5 when I first commented on this page.
Edit: Why is it, when someone tries to point out positive points there are negative people that want to try to knock them down. That's what's sad.
@Verityrant I think the term 'fanboy' is derogative and possibly offensive to some, however I'll let you know that I am not a paid schill for any company. I'm just an old timer who has played a lot of games and this one does not deserve a 6. I have asked a lot of the critics of this game if they have suggestions of other free mmorpg games that they like better. I'd be anxious to try them too.
I tire of people complaining about free things wasting there precious time. We're talking about playing games here.
@Verityrant @RuskoE @feared4power An alternative to spending money to play around with power point and feat builds, you can roll a level 11, 21, or 31 character in the foundry and try different builds for free. I play with a Control Wizard in game, but in the Foundry I spec'd him a few different ways to see what works better for me. I haven't respec'd my main yet, but the foundry gives you a way to try diff builds before you by.
@Verityrant I see and agree that the devs do place a priority on cash shop issues. However, as a fantasy rpg, I find it easy enough to ignore the money grabbing and enjoy the immersion into the graphics and combat.
Hopefully the class balance and content issues will be evolving in the next few months. After I level my second toon to 60 I'll have to make a new assessment of the game.
@SnuffDaddyNZ I think it's more fun than WoW also. However, the world is nowhere near as vast. The graphics in NW are far superior to those in WoW. I kind of prefer the tab-targeting as in WoW, but I'm getting used to the reticule aiming method of NW. I'm just hoping for some better end game content like 10 or 25man raids.
@adrianjarca I agree and have said before, why do people complain so much about a game that's free to play?
You can play this game to 60 with two different characters without spending a single dime. The graphics and the combat alone are worth box prices, but people still complain.
The only thing you gain from spending real money on this game is time. Everything you need to kick ass is available through normal single-player game play. And did they mention it's free to play???
@leikeylosh The really cool thing about the guardian warrior is his ability to mitigate 100% of damage from big damage spells, AND with a lot of practice you can predict when they are casting those control spells and interrupt them.
Believe me it's not easy, but with some practice it becomes a freakin' fun way to dominate those pesky squishies!
