I don't know why you would not what to have it backwards compatible... Because its 8 years old its not holding make the tech enough to make that big of a difference... Sure it is making a small difference, but if your someone that cries about specs the PSP has a lot more power in it then the DS....
Its kinda sad how the Wii which has not gotten a good hardcore game in a long time is leading and how the 360 that is noting doing as well game wise as they were last year are beating the PS3... While the PS3 is the only console shipping out better games at this point in the year... Gamers sure Like to screw them selves over...
Did you look at the Wii's specs??? The 360 is nothing ground breaking (Not that the PS3 really is either, but it does have Blu-Ray and the "Cell"), but its way better then the POS Wii's Specs...
It may be overwhelming at first with all the terms and possibilites but I do agree that FFt should be played first as it is not too complex but great nonetheless.
Makai kingdom is okay but you could also play some other Nippon Ichi games like Brave Story or La Pucelle (sp?)
The stories are really weird and all, but the Gameplay is not that hard to understand... Its the best once you get a hang of it...
When its for a Game that is mainly Online (Call of Duty 4) I play it on the 360, but if its a mainly story driven game (Dead Space) I play on the PS3... But, for the most part I don't like to get Multiplat games unless they have a lot of high reviewers or its what all of my Friends are playing...
Its all a matter of getting used to it... and I guess because the 360 and xbox had more FPS then the PS2 and PS3 people just are not used to playing them with the Dual shock controllers.... The Dual Shock is great for RPG's and easily the best for fighters, but you just don't see as many great FPS on Sony systems... Maybe Killzone 2 will change that...
Sense the game is no different as a Black Label then The Green Greatest Hits... I would never spend 80 bucks on it... I got My Greatest Hits copy for 14 bucks at Borders a long time ago, so I laugh at all these people throwing 80 bucks into it... Its kinda sad even if you are a die hard fan( if you are why would you not already have the game???)
