Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - I loved the first Metroid Prime, so I was really hyped for the sequel....it ended up being a big disappointment for me. I put down the game literally towards the end when the game turned into a backtracking fetch quest for sky temple keys....that was the deal breaker for me, it seemed like pointless filler to make the game seem longer, and after about my 4th sky temple key...I simply gave up on the game cause it lost it's appeal. Sure, the previous Prime had backtracking, but I didn't mind it cause it opened up new areas and seemed to have a purpose....Prime 2 however seemed pointless in sticking that Sky Temple key search at the end, especially after all the player had been through up to that point.

GTA San Andreas - I got pretty far in this game, and tried to give it a chance since I loved GTA3 and Vice City....but San Andreas just lacked the personality and fun factor of GTA3 and Vice City before it. The characters didn't really capture my interest, and I found the soundtrack and radio personalities to be boring and unexciting. A lot of the game started to just feel like filler and tedious tasks and I put down the controller out of boredom.

DX2: Invisible War- I really tried to like this game and give it a chance, but just couldnt get into it and got fed up with all the annoyances and the realization that it wasn't even a shadow of the excellent predecessor that came before it.

Ada Wong from Resident Evil 2 / 4....technically we got this with "Separate Ways" in the PS2 and Wii versions of RE4, but I think it would be cool if Capcom made a game that focused on her spy and espionage exploits.

I also always thought it would be cool to see Princess Zelda as the Shiek get her own epic Zelda game, maybe not call it "Zelda" since people are so used to playing as link in the series....but maybe have a spinoff series game.

And finally, maybe a Star Wars action game where you play as the assassin droid HK-47.

Condemned: Criminal Origins for 360......I actually finished it last night. Got it for only $20 and it's still probably the only game I've ever bought that I actually regret buying. What a disappointment that was, I wish I could have my 10 hours back. Most surprising is that I actually research a game before purchasing it and most review sites and reviewers who have been reliable in the past gave this decent reviews and talked about it having this great atmosphere, I personally didn't think so, I found it bland and at times annoying in its mechanics and design.

Dragon Age - There was that big feature in Games for Windows magazine about a year ago, since then relative silence other then the occasional confirmation from BioWare that it's supposedly proceeding along well.

Mafia 2
- No real news of updates since the initial announcement and screenshots, then again, I'm just happy it's being made.

Dreamfall Chapters- Another game that was officially announced about a year ago that's pretty much been silent since.

Alan Wake

Darksiders: Wrath of War
- Is this game even still being made?

Starcraft 2

ChiefFreeman

I'd have to disagree....I see developer updates and interviews about this game almost every couple of weeks, especially at IGN, and the last batch of screenshots is less then a month old with the previous batch from just two weeks before that.

I could have sworn Unreal Tournament 3 is on PC.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]UT3 has already been released on PC... :|

And any game that is announced for another platform is not exclusive.
smerlus

Actually they are. Consoles and PC's aren't in competition so the consoles race to get exclusives before other consoles do.

No they aren't.

If I have the choice to get a game on one platform over another...it's not exclusive.

Just because someone decides to limit their own selection by ignoring any particular platform, doesn't mean that the choice doesn't exist for everyone else.

Consoles and PC are two entirely different beasts.

smerlus

What does that have to do with a consumer having the option to acquire UT3 on either platform.

In fact, currently UT3 is only available for purchase on PC.

when you were a kid, did you ask your mother for a SNES, Genesis or Gaming PC? No because when you're a young gamer, most of the times PC doesn't mattersmerlus

Again, one consumer's decision doesn't elimitate the existence of the option for other consumers.

Just because a "young gamer", PC gaming may have not mattered to you....doesn't mean it didn't matter to some other young gamer....in addition, young gamers arent the only ones out there buying games.

when you go to stores such as target, circuit city, best buy... are the computer games and console games in the same isle? Hmmm they don't split up competing tooth pastes, tissues or even dvd/ blu raysmerlus

I've been to plenty of stores where PC games were right alongside console games it was the isle labeled "videogames".

In addition I've also been to stores where 360 games have been a in completely different section of the store from PS3 or Wii games.

how come the boxes on Halo 1, Hale 2 and Halo 3 all say "For Xbox or 360 only" when their PC counterparts are in the works... same with Mass Effect & Bioshock? However this stamp is missing from title like Oblivion, Two Worlds and other games that eventually find their way on PS3?

smerlus

The console boxes for Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Mass Effect that all say "for Xbox or 360 only" are all from games the were released and the boxes were printed before the official announcement of those games for another platform, such as PC.....it's called marketing, for those people who believe dumb labels like "only on 360" as some form of absolute truth makes them rush out and buy the game faster for a specific system cause they don't not realize that possibly in 5 months the game will be available on another platform, possibly with extra features and optimizations, as if the case with Mass Effect.

BioShock doesn't say "360 only"....why, cause it was officially announced and confirmed for PC before the boxes were printed....same with Oblivion.....here is another game that doesn't say "only on 360" on the box, despite the fact that 360 was the only home console it was available for.

For anyone who enjoys playing games like Crysis, The Witcher, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Company of Heroes, Team Fortress 2, Portal, Sins of a Solar Empire, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, World in Conflict, and Battlefield 2 among others.

...or who are anticipating the games like Spore, Starcraft 2, BioWare's Dragon Age, Half Life 2: Episode Three, Mafia 2, Empire Total War, Dreamfall Chapters, and Guild Wars 2 among others.

...or who enjoy getting free exclusive maps and updates for games such as Team Fortress 2.

...or enjoy mods like Garry's Mod and being able to create and download usermade maps and content for games like TF2, Portal, and Oblivion among others.

...or who enjoy being able to choose the lastest technology for gaming and if they want their games and hardware to have the latest tech features.

For people interested in the things mentioned above, PC gaming is definitely worth it.

If you are not interested in any of those games mentioned above or the developers behind them or any of the features mentioned above....then it's obviously not worth it for you.

Crysis is still a PC Exclusive, there hasn't been any official announcement of that changing.

In addition, it is very likely to remain a PC exclusive, since Crytek themselves have specifically said that if anything were to ever be brought over to consoles, it would be a "derivitive" game optimized specifically for console.....ie, a console spin-off....that would simply bear the same franchise name but would be a differerent game.

Just how like Far Cry for PC and Far Cry: Instincts for consoles are completely different games, or how Battlefield 2 for PC and Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for consoles are also completely different games.
