why would you need a controller dock for both of them?
you basically listed two charging alternatives for the 360 side.

the ps3 comes with a cable for charging the ds3. The 360 game-pad doesnt. The rechargeable battery is needed to use the 360 dock. The 360 dock isnt needed, but neighter is the ps3s. However both making a gaming setups look good and more organized.
I choose the addons because they make each conle more like there opnnent
(xbl acrd adds online to compare with free psn)
(ps3 media reader adds two usb ports to compare with 360s 5)
I have tried to make the features of the two as close as possible. I didnt add alot of games because games are subjective and cant be countered were as a bluray drive is clearly of higher value then a dvd drive and 5 usb ports > 2. The prices are also near same.
Ppl are welcome to create there own lists (under 500)
Charge Docks are not needed for the PS3 because the PS3 IS a charge dock.

Exactly, you have to pay extra for the pleasure with a 360. Just like you have to pay extra for the pleasure of talking online with a ps3 ;) Same with 360. The new slim bundle does not come bundled with a mic.
a new gaming pc for 500 dollars (remember you must include tax) I don't think tax should be included as it varies from place to place. It's only 8% where I live and if take a 20 min drive south, I don't have to pay tax at all. :( I hate canada

If there is, you seem to have neglected to consider it when writing the OP.
Being priced higher does not in itself make something overpriced.
Peripherals are always priced for profit and you've no idea of the margins on any of the items in question.
You may have a point. The value of the ps3 headset could be over 50 dollars. However maybe sony should have created the device so iot could be valued at 40 dollars even if that means reducing the quality by 10 dollars.

They operate with the goal of making money but that doesn't mean that wanting to increase profit makes someone or thing greedy. Im sure every human on the world would like a pay raise but that doesnt make them greedy. Greed=the want of something more, beyond what you deserve. So in essence yes...wanting more and not deserving it is greed. So the whole thing is opinion anyways no factual evidence can be given since no one can say this is deserved, that is not deserved. So its far easier to just say they are all greedy and its a fact they are all greedy they want more and more and more. I agree with that definition. Companies like activision are greedy as they sell mw2 at 65 bucks and dlc at 15 which is far more then what was put into the product compared to games like dragon age with over 200 hours of content. Places like monoprice are not greedy as they sell electronics cables, devices, ect as low as they can. They still make a profit but dont overcharge customers

Theyre offering us products and want us to like them so that we come back for more. There is a diff between making a profit and greed. they are offering us products and want us to like them to make money, and within are realization that they have offered us something good, we are more likely to come back and spend more money on their product. so yes they are all greedy.
