Ummmm.... they aren't already? Notice how a lot of DLC "fix" problems with the games, or patches now require DLC in some cases? (I'm not pointing my finger solely at EA on this one)

@PSYCHOV3N0M It's not about YOU hurting someone - it's about THEM huring YOU - Before Microtransactions those items would have come as part of the game..... I have no problem with DLC when it is developed after the game is completed - what I (and I suspect many others here) have a problem with is when A.) They make DLC while making the main game by simply taking stuff that should have been included and selling it for extra.... (This includes stuff they don't make until afterwards if it should have been included in the first place) B.) Taking the Pre-order incentives and selling them as DLC to people who didn't pre-order (Thus removing your "exclusive" bonus for shelling out extra), and C.) selling stuff that's basically required to win (Pay to Win) -

Sad but true.... this is what they took away from the last election. Because people voted for this kinda thing, they found an issue they think will help get them votes. The problem is it violates conservative principals. This happens every time a Dem wins - they are suddenly for a bunch of stuff they have no business being for - on the plus side, this will fade over time (whereas with the dems it's part of the party platform)

I agree in principal.... however, it DOES affect us when a kid decides to shoot up a shopping mall or a school. Unless your willing to agree to put armed guards everywhere (which doesn't always work, but is a great deterrent) there is only a limited number of responses to the problem. Taking peoples guns away won't work (If you do that the only people with the guns are the criminals and you lose your ability to revolt if the government becomes tyrannical) so the best you can do is try to reduce the influence of violence on the kids. One option would be to make parents legally responsible if their kids go on a shooting spree, but what happens when the kid is 18? 20? 30? - I think the best solution is to mandate that kids can't buy the games on their own - at least require a parent/guardian to be on-site when the kid buys the game.... If your over 18 (heck, even 16) you shouldn't have any issue. It's a horrible situation, but SOMETHING has to happen, and it's the only real option. They also should implement something like the "watershed" in the UK for violence on TV (no ultra-violent shows before 10PM) and put similar restrictions on buying violent movies.

@blackrunie @V3rciS I think he meant that YOU are nuts you liberal nutjob.... Fox is the only network with even a glimmer of bias-free news these days, and even they are falling further and further to the left. I don't agree that games should be censored, but lets call a spade a spade - they DO desensitise some people, and common sense laws to keep the most violent games (FPSs, GTA, etc.) out of the hands of 8 year olds may be needed. It should be the parents jobs, but if they aren't doing it what are we supposed to do?
