To continue on about this, tying the game into the original bioshock;

The game established the idea of "constants and viariables"  comparing the two you get the obvious BookerComstock and Jack/Ryan as the "variables" to the "constant".

There also are the protectors (songbird and big daddies) both protecting a girl or girls.  From here on out is merely my speculation, but Elizibeth seemed to know about rapture before teleporting booker and herself there.  She stated that as a LITTLE GIRL she was able to go to other places.  Is it possible that she went to rapture as a girl and in the world(s) of rapture she was captured and cloned/mutiliated into little sisters?  In the world of rapture cloning was possible and it seems almost purpsefully done that the clothing and hair of Elizibeth and the little sisters are nearly identical.

The only details that might clarify my elizibeth/little sister idea is the knowledge of how vigors came to be and if Elizibeth had anything to do with it (and if so, Ryan could have utilized that same part).  I'm hoping some DLC will delve into this to clarify.

If you like the Halo universe I would say buy it.  I'm pretty sure the game supports split screen co-op (you can confirm this by looking at the back of the box before you decide to purchase it or not...)

343 said that the campaign is supposed to last about 8 hours on normal difficulty, plus most people like to replay it on heroic/legendary just for the achievements, so its up to you if you feel that is worth your 60 dollars.

Derailing sidenote: How can you buy halo and NOT play it online; I'm pretty sure that is against the law ;)

I'm sure they could easily do it, however I don't see them doing it, at least in the near future.  They released Combat Evolved WELL after the console release (and even further out for Halo 2)

They say its running at 1080p

which means its probably being rendered at 720 natively and then upscaled.  It's a new (optimized) game engine so performance has been improved since previous games

why would it matter you cant tell the difference anyway

Nexrad

As a PC gamer, trust me you can tell the difference.

That being said as long as it is a SOLID 30fps i wont mind; I'd rather have that then games that say they run at 60fps but then you get sudden drops quite frequently

I personally love this game, but I also have mentally slapped on the title "burnout" ever since i saw that it was the next rendition of Burnout Paradise.

I can get why Need for speed fans are hating this game.  The only mistake this game made is carrying the franchise NFS and not burnout (which i think was definitly more of EA pushing criterions hand than anything else)

I have been a long time burnout fan but not very into the need for speed games.

This game first and foremost is burnout at its core, crazy fast driving, tight spaces, rapid weaving through traffic.  If you are expecting the Need for Speed of yesteryear this game will not be for you.

However if you like fast cars, stupidly tight turns and big crashes then this game will be for you.

This is essentially Burnout Paradise 2  However it is much, much improved especially on the multiplayer front.  Events now automatically launch and you go through a ciruit of 5 random events (sometimes they are group challenges, sometimes races, or other random competitions).  The city is also MUCH MUCH MUCH more navigateable than Paradise City was.  Yes, you still have to look at your map from time to time, but you literally just have to glance at it for a split second rather than in Paradise where you might as well have just stopped and pulled up the full screen map.

This game does include some of the atmosphere from need for speed though, its grittier and more edgy than Burnout.  The crashes aren't quite as explody and cars don't get absolutely mangled but all-in-all as a long time burnout fan (from burnout 1), I am in love with this game.

Has anyone heard if the game will have the closed races (or the ability to make them)?  What I mean is that if you pick a route, from point A to B, there will have to be a certain route you have to use to get there and you can't go way off the beaten path like you could with Paradise.

I ask this becuae one of the biggest gripes I had about Paradise was that the online races were boring because more often than not, everyone got lost and the races were more based on your ability to memorize the city and look at a map while driving rather than driving/avoid being taken out by other drivers.

In a publication of GameInformer a few months back they go over that we will be fighting the forerunners (which im assuming is what that strange enemy was in the E3 footage.  They talk about how the forerunners have survived and are living in artifically made planetiods.  The planet has an outer metal shell that is designed to block the halo ring explosions.  They also talk about how both the humans and the flood find the forefunners hiding place and it will probably end up being a similar situation to the Covenant V Humans V Flood scenario, except replace the Covenant with the forefunners (I still expect the covenant to be involved somehow though).

Did you see the new game Beyond: Two Souls for the PS3? They made a protagonist look like Ellen Paige, the chick from the movie Juno. Was it completely CGI or was it some sort of picture that was made into a person? I don't know. But it is kind of related to the question you ask. Just thought of it myself.

anarayan
It looks like Ellen Page because it is Ellen Page, but in that game they use facial tracking technology. In the halo 4 trailer they used real actors, and it looks like they added a filter effect similar to that used in the movie 300
