@wayneextremity: You can argue they took away some of kapkan's identity, but they sure as hell didn't nerf him. His traps now do 60 damage, as opposed to 0 when the lasers were visible. They are an actual threat now. Also, he gets 5 of them, as well as a speed boost to place them all.

I can understand why some people found kapkan's old high-risk/high-reward iteration more satisfying. That said, it also doomed him to forever being a non-competitive op unless he was reworked, which he was.

I played a bunch of Torbjorn in the beta because I'm a boring person with no redeeming qualities, and in my opinion you're overstating the importance of the turret a bit. Even at lvl2, it's damage output is rather underwhelming. Instead of setting it up overlooking a chokepoint and hammering away at it to keep it healthy - like a TF2 engineer - I had better success placing it further back. That way, it could guard the control point and a flanking route, against the weakened stragglers that got to our chokepoint. Meanwhile, I would run ahead and help hold down the chokepoint with Torbjorn's solid weapons (that you rightfully pointed out are often underestimated) while providing everyone with healthpacks.

tl;dr Treat the turret as "set-it-and-forget-it", don't worry too much about repairing it unless you have nothing better to do.

EDIT: Otherwise good video, would like to see the rest!

I'm afraid Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below has to hand in its trophy.

Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist was released on steam today (it's free, short and apparently pretty good)!

@Gopstop22 Excellent point, small/indie games like Spelunky, Virtue's Last Reward and Mark of the Ninja all had the budget to bribe themselves into the GS nominees. Get a grip.

You know, 2012 is probably my favorite year in games yet, because it's the year small/indie games showed generic AAA shootbang games HOW IT'S DONE. We got The Walking Dead, Spelunky, Virtue's Last Reward, FTL, Journey, Mark of the Ninja, Hotline Miami, Dust: an Elysian Tail, Trials: Evolution and much more.

Well done 2012, and we should be happy if 2013 is even half as good as you.
