@Senor_Kami @RabidSchnauzer @dem5000 Sorry, but I view a full scholarship and all the other benefits as a good bit more than "sh!t" as you so eloquently put it. Greedy whiners and crybabies.

@dem5000 College athletes get paid full scholarships to go to school, competitively play a sport they love, and get an opportunity to market themselves for the pros. Sounds like getting paid to me. Greed is ruining everything in this country.

@Ghosthunter54 @RabidSchnauzer @burns112233 That theory only applies if there are no pro licenses, and those are definitely around to stay. As long as a halfway decent NFL licensed game exists, a generic football game will not sell. People play NCAA Football for the real schools and authentic experience, otherwise they'd just stick with Madden.

@draken2533 @RabidSchnauzer Companies have tried the unlicensed approach and it doesn't work. All-Pro Football and Backbreaker are prime examples.

@Ghosthunter54 @burns112233 People buy sports games because they want to play with real teams. Generic teams don't cut it anymore. Backbreaker and All-Pro Football had promise but bombed.

@Ghosthunter54 Who the heck would want to play a generic college football game without real schools?

@Ghosthunter54 It's not excellent news. The NCAA isn't just backing out with EA, they are backing out with everyone. In other words, no more officially licensed games, at least until all legal issues get resolved.

@XxXeroxX @RabidSchnauzer I hope so, but we haven't seen any NCAA hoops games since NCAA Basketball 2010 though because of similar issues. If no one has jumped on board yet for college hoops it doesn't give me much faith that football will be any different. No one is going to want to become a potential target for a lawsuit. Players are going to continue to complain about any realistic representation of the sport.

I think some people are missing the point. As much as many of us would like to see another company besides EA develop NCAA games, this is suggesting that officially licensed NCAA games will no longer be made by anyone period. The 2K NCAA hoops games smoked EA's but they bailed out a few years ago. This was the NCAA's decision, not EA's, and I seriously doubt they will sign another contract with any developer as long as any legal issues remain.
