You have not broke anything to me, you just said it, "Majority of the time", yes majority of the time it is, I agree with that. Now if youread what I just wrote you'll see that I gave you an example of a time when you can find yourself victim to hacking when you least expect it, mainly using an offial site that you thought you could trtust. Sorry, I was an idiot because I thought I could trust Battlenet.Eu, the offical site from the most popular and succefull game company in the world, running the top MMO that holds something like 80% of the worlds MMO subscribers, I thought maybe they would of had a good system set up.

Of course you can just blank everything I said and say "you had a keylog on your system" which I can only say I don't but then you would say I did, and it will never end.

I heard from word of mouth once that the secuirty battle is a losing battle as it stands at the moment, so chances are you'll find out soon enough anyway.

so where are the 10,000 other hacked accounts floating around here? where are all the p0rn suicide threads? We should have at least 10-20 a day according to your estimates since the forum's compromised security procedures. Yeah, I don't' see it.

There is no value to do that in Gamespot, your talking about Gamespot only? Then forget the whole conversation because I am talking on a much wider scale here. You see all that WoW information I was posting? That's happening right now, that's the gold farming industry.

What's the value of hacking into peoples Gamespots accounts and posting a rude pic? Compare that to the value of gold farming MMO industry, if you can comprehand that, because the fact I am trying hard to frame this picture for you, I may be wasting my time. In fact I am going to have to stop this conversation right here, you can take it wherever you want now. Christ oh mighty.

Uh, but that's what happened with BiancaDK. You do know that right? Her World of Warcraft account wasn't hacked. Your analogy doesn't fit. And you give another example of why I don't think it was a legimate compromise. There was little to no value in doing that. But, it was done.

She is a super genius for getting away with it.

This is a bit like who people think car crashes are something that only happens to other people. I got hacked for using Blizzards Battlenet.EU character transfer service for World of Warcraft, but then this is me and about 250,000 others. The Chinese hackers got the site under control, within 2 hours after using the service provided they hacked my account and had used the 'recommend a friend' service to bring in another gold farmer to the market with a free account. It's a multi-million doller business that's got more organised and with morepeople working behind it effectivly then most car companies, Blizzard can't win, it's why they provide these newcode thingies (forgotwhat you call them).

You don't have to visit a porn site or download dodgy files, or be fished, you can fall victim to it. I think the only way not to is never, ever input any card details or passwords into your PC, which you just did logging into your Gamespot account, not that anyone would be interested in doing so, but if for some reason your account and username was to fetch a price of 300 million, I bet you'll get hacked.

Hate to break it to you, but when an account is compromised majority of the time it's the users fault.

[QUOTE="PrimateJoe"][QUOTE="KrunkMastaX"]BiancaDK is one. The sheer uproar that happened when she got hacked was enough to show how much OT wouldn't be the same without her. Also the same when she said she was leaving too. Glad she came back. There is none other like her. Wonder what ever happened to heartcork and PearlOfEgypt though. If anyone even remembers them.Overlord93
It's funny that people actually believed she was hacked. I hear all the time how smart she is, but if she's so smart, how would she get hacked? Smart people don't get hacked. Idiots do. it's obvious that she was behind it all along, probably with a few helpers. Genius, if you ask me.

I must say that is rather farfetched but...

why is it far fetched? you refuse to believe she's a super genius with the ability to pull one over on people?

because of the excessive romanticism in the media and other entertainment industries people have formed a poorly conceived idea on what marriage actually represents. marriage was established primarily on economic reasoning to create strength within specific societies.

I never understand these kind of arguments. Why do people always use the word "image" literally. I never thought it was presented that way. And nobody ever gave me that impression as I was raised in a catholic setting. I do not believe in the Abrahamic God, but for mar for significant reasons than this. I don't think there is any form of truth when you start to ask why about anything in the bible.

based on my experience, if I'm tired and take a nap of any duration, I will wake up feeling more tired and just want to go back to sleep. Best to stay awake until you can sleep for a long period. Drink some coffee or something.

I have a bad habit of staring at people I find entirely uninteresting. I wouldn't take it so seriously. Who knows what he's thinking.
