I'm not building expert, but I recently got into PC building and upgrading about a year back. If I were in your situation and had some spare cash I would probably sell the two 512MB RAM's. Then I would buy 4 x 1GB (running you around $180 for good RAM)

As far as Vista goes, I would go with Ultimate because it is a 64-Bit OS, but that is just something I like. There are still some obvious flaws in this. If you do get this, get the Media Center Remote as well (great add-on).

Your processor should be fine for now, though if you want to, you can plan ahead for the future.

You also mentioned that you didn't like your sound card or speakers. I don't know much about sound cards due to the fact that mine was onboard but it is amazing. I do recommend some Logitech Wireless Surround Sound Speakers.

Well, me and two of my friends are thinking about setting up a permanant LAN setup in my basement. We plan on scrimming another clan of three people during the weekends. We want to play games such as Counter Strike: Soure and Battlefield 1942.

Could anybody that has experience with small LAN parties please tell me what sort of hardware I will be needing. Please be specific and post links to sites where stuff can be bought. I have heard about bundles that sell everything togeter. Could somebody send me a link to such a thing? I could not find it.

yes ,I dont know why they do put all the xbox360 pics for the games that in both systems ,why they didnt put ps3 picforhalf life orange boxor COD4.

I am devoted to Sony and I can honestly say that Orange Box was MUCH better on Xbox 360. I don't know why they put COD4 as a 360 game, but I would assume that Gamespot just likes being a little one sided.

1) The Wi-Fi works great.

2) The Oblivion load times are almost the same as those on the 360. I don't own a PS3 (I'm getting one for Xmas), but I play it all the time at my cousins. I don't know about the downloadable content, but I am pretty sure that you can.

3) I've found it easy to get into CoD4 games at my cousins house.

What games do you already have?

I wouldn't get Call of Duty AND Unreal Tournament if you don't have many other games. If you do have other games, UT is a great choice, but IMO I wouldn't want to be stuck with two shooters and no other genres to round it out.
