It's the sites like IGN and Gamespot that made E3 bigger than what it's supposed to be. The developers merely kept up with the demand for bigger and flashier E3 that never mounted to anything. How many times have we heard reporters talking about cool booths? Who cares about how the booths look? I don't. I also agree with USER9000. And I don't agree with Brian Ekberg that this will hurt the small players. There was no way that a small player could compete with the big giants at previous E3 events. Those with big pockets could rent bigger floor space, more babes, etc. Smaller E3 will give the smaller guys more chance to show off their games without going bankrupt from E3. This is great news. I don't know why Gamespot staff are sad anyway. You'll still be attending E3, unlike the rest of us mere mortals.
