I understood what you said,

But maybe you won't agree with this statement.

This game was not meant to newbies, and if a person makes those simple mistakes, the game is there to show you that you need to improve and learn from them, because those can be unforgiving in the future. Yes, you should have looked better... that is why it makes it so unforgiving... being ignorant to simple details can make you fail badly later on.

concerning the fighting mechanics, is like Resident Evil... you need to understand that the game works that way and experience it by its limitations

I need to disagree with you in something

This game is not meant for everyone,

But the mechanics is pretty straight forward and simple, you have these moves and you should work with them. You don't learn more abilities, you learn ways to get stronger and to inflict more damage.

While fighting, you need to know your limitations, your enemies's limitations to know where to go and how to approach the problems you're faced with, mostly on bosses.

As Sun Tzu said "Know yourself and know your enemy and you will fight 100 battles and will all of them, know only yourself and not knowing your enemy, and you will loose and win the same number of times, don't know yourself and your enemies, and you will loose all your battles"

Would Solid Snake still kick ass in this game?

I think he has no chance against all those cyborgs, but, the solar gun would help him a lot... hahahahaha

I would say that, for you to unlock all the things from this DMC, you need to unlock from DMC3: Special Edition, then DMC4, then you go to this trashy DMC reboot.

If you've got an SS rank in all of the DMD mode in DMC3 I could say that you know what you're talking about, but the feeling is that you didn't even got closer to getting an SS rank... Is plausible, but you need a LOT OF TIME to do this, but when you do it... you just think that this new DMC doens't have anything great to offer.

Don't you guys know any history? The Sony Playstation was originally a Nintendo's 32 bits, but for reasons that I don't remember, Nintendo didn't want a CD videogame, so they've sticked with the nintendo 64 and sony developed the playstation without nintendo's help.

Who copied who first?... there is no such answer.

But since always, sony made to the market latter than the other companies.

PSONE was launched latter than the Sega Saturn (and other platforms like 3DO and Neo Geo)

PS2 launched later than DreamCast

PS3 launched later than XBOX360

PS4 Will probably be launched later than the XBOX720 if history continues.

Sony copied the wii and the kinect because they've realized that there was a new market being born. The "hardcore gamers" that represent the normal market, and the new market that was all about the casual gamers, that they can have fun with the videogames without the dificulties that a normal controler and their button presses offers to their non used videogame routines.

The hardcore gamer that represents a large portion of the market still wants the classical videogame experience, while the casual gamer, that was a branch new market, wanted a diferent experience.

The Wii got this portion of the market earlier, but the kinect got there and took a portion of this market. Sony with the move didn't had the same success as the kinect did taking wii's market portion.

Now you guys can say what sony is trying to do, and, probably they're trying to copy nintendo, but they're not making the right efforts in the games and in understanding the videogame market and needs.

Maybe change is good, but you can't change the expectations of a game.

For example,

What do you expect from a COD game? A game that has some interesting history in single player game, multiplayer with all those killstreaks, and all those perks and way that the weapons handle. If you change the gameplay, people will complain, but if you change for better... the complain will still exist, but at least it changed for better. Still, the core things should remains the same. Or you change the game's name so you don't have any mixed reactions.

Demon's Soul orr Dark Souls? A dificult action-rpg game. If they maked the game easier... they will hit a broader audience, but it will make people mad. The expectation of the game is to be a hard game.

Battlefield? Street Fighter? Tekken? Metal Gear Solid? Halo? Gears of Wars? If you change the feels of the game for worse, people will complain. That's why all those games get better while time goes by and they lauch new numbers next to the game.

Another example is that Metal Gear Rising is not metal gear SOLID, so, they're using the name, characters, but creating a WHOLE new experience. People that like stealth action games, maybe won't like it, but people who like hack & slash games will enjoy it.

The DMC experience changed for worse for a lot of reasons, the gameplays is almost similar, but the main things were turned off the game. the way the devil arms change, devil trigger, the styles, the lock-on system, the roll system and other stuffs. A lot of things are still there, like the combos and some of the moves, but still... it lacks the options that the older games offered. If I wanted a game like the actual DMC, they've should've called it "God of the Demons".... because, for me, it PLAYS A LOT LIKE GOD OF WAR...

Hope you understand my opinion

What would happen if Ninja Theory maintaned the gameplay of the other games and the characters, but CREATED A NEW STORY? I think there would be much less complain about the game.

People Should learn something about Risk. Why you try to change something that is so good already? If you want to get better, FIX the BROKEN stuff... history, yes, reboot the history, but why the whole game???

They've taken the risk, and it happened as everyone expected, the actual fans got mixed feelings about this game, some liked it, other didn't. They've hitted new audience with this game, but failed in achieving the fans's expectations.

Now if they go back to the older franchise, what should happen? the fans of THIS game will complain that the game changed for worse, or maybe saying that the old style of game is just too hard.

But as to expect, the final client of the game will still get mad about something like that.

Change is good, the new History of the game feels somewhat better than the older, but the aspects that makes the game feel good changed too...

Is like making Demon's soul or Dark Souls an easier game to go for a broader audience, but the game delivers an experience, to be a HARD KICK ASS GAME TO BEAT, so you feel something good at the end of the game, if they've maked it easier... people WILL COMPLAIN. it's a fact.

What is the solution to DMC? Go back with the older gameplay, maintain the older character design, maintain the older (non cursing) scripts, but REWRITE the history with the older characters and Devil arms and etcetera. This would make less people angry and maintain the game as a classic.

Megaman still a classic and what happened when they made the game 3D? no one played (Megaman X7 and X8)... I still wants a Megaman that plays a lot like the DMC, but the expectations would be when you'd get to the boss fights... well... Capcom needs a new direction... they should try to understand the market a little better and stop worriying about their income.

@Refreshers

But the games plays worse than the other games... it feels like a god of war fighting system than a Devil May Cry game. If the game played similar, I would think of buying it, even though the character and the personality and the script sucks ass... because what it matters in a DMC game is the gameplay itself... Downgrade it and I would say it's not a DMC game... I wish they go back to the older storyline.
