@shingui5 @Parker7007 Alright my replies aren't showing up so if there are like five I apologize. Anyways This website blows now bunch of sh!thead reviewers and articles as terrible as this one. Deleting my account. Game Informer is a much better source of gaming news anyways.

He starts off the article as such, then goes on to talk about how the over use of violence is a crutch on game development and some other nonsense I'm not even going to address. As for that matter, if I want to play a game based around Greek and Roman mythology, then that game should be violent. Old myths are quite violent stories. So are a lot of old biblical stories. I am glad that the God of War developers took the approach they did. You can't tell me that a T rated God of War title would be nearly as entertaining. Re-read the article, he does reference the link between game violence and real world violence and then ends on something entirely different which is probably why you're confused, because it is such a poorly organized article. It blows my mind this guy is a professional writer.

@shingui5 he starts off his article as such actually, then goes to this other place about how over use of violence is a crutch on game development and some other nonsense I'm not even going to address. As for that matter, all I have to say is that if people want to play a game based around Greek and Roman mythology, then that game should be violent. The old myths are quite violent stories. Old bible stories are very violent. I am glad that the God of War developers chose the approach they did. You can't tell me that a T rated God of War would be nearly as entertaining.

Wow what a terrible article. If you are talking about the possible relation between real world violence and video game violence, and even referencing Sandy Hook, then why in hell are you talking about Gears and God of War? Yes because playing a game where you savagely butcher hordes of beasts and soldiers or gun down aliens really relates to real world violence. Have you ever heard of GTA? Come on at least try to make it a valid argument. Also playing violent video games in no way makes people want to replicate such violence. How do I know? Oh Tom you love platformers and weighty moral decisions? So did playing Mario or Mirrors Edge make you start bounding across buildings or start jumping over pits of lava? Yeah didn't think so. I'll give you a weighty moral decision, it would be the right thing to do to never write an article as poorly developed as this again. If Megaton was your career, nuke it. Oh yeah after I type this angry comment I'm going to go strap a death claw gauntlet to my hand and start slashing everyone into bits because Fallout has poisoned my brain with violent notions.

@gpm23 that exact part made me not finish god of war III. So incredibly frustrating I'd beat the other 2 games on hard and the challenge of the gods things and I still couldn't beat this part.... I gave up after 4 or 5 hours I know shameful but that part was so F*CKING annoying i didn't even want to try. Also mariokart when you get blue shelled at the finish line and then come in 12th...

Fun, but I do hate the skill runes system, I miss skill trees. We wanted a respec option, not an extremely easy skill system where that doesn't require any brainpower or planning and completely eliminates any reason to level the same class ever again. Leveling both a whirlwind barb and a berserk barb in D2 was fun, they both played very differently. Being able to just switch it on the go is lame as hell. Always online is also a b*tch. Also it felt way shorter than the other two. Did not live up to my expectations sadly, but still a pretty sick game.

Holy sh*t!!! My love for God of War was just reinvigorated. I don't see why anyone would ever complain about the addition of MP. It looks very well thought out already, not just thrown in unnecessarily. Plus you don't need to play it if you don't want to. It's God of War, of course the focus will still be the campaign. I for one think this looks incredible! #1 game I'm looking forward to now!
