Because I'm a Sony Fanboy who can't accept that something that costs less than half of my blu-ray shrreding ps3 could make something 100x better than anything for mine.
Something I think SW needs to realise (even though 90% won't)
If any company has the video game business figured out, even though system wars may not agree, it's nintendo. Why do you think they sell so many wiis? It's the casual gamers. Why do Sony and Microsoft even care about the "hardcore gamers"? Reputation? Nintendo targets a MUCH larger base than the other companies. They have games for hardcores, casuals, and the in-betweens. Why do they give themselves a negative image from the hardcores? Money. It's all about the money. If you could sell a lot of a product and make considerably more than your competitors, why should you care who your selling it too. I think SW needs to accept (lol, who am i kidding, they never will) that maybe they really don't care who is playing their games. They might just see casuals and harcores exactly the same, as customers.
it doesn't matter, wii doesnt need a FF killer. It is aimed at casual gamers who probably dont even know what FF is. Its just not up there with the highend consoles and is in a league of its own. FF is only really a competition for xbox..
Viva Pinata is a great game, anyone who hates on it must've never played it and just say "teh kiddy" because they feel playing shooters makes them more mature.
I remember when i picked up my DS at my local gamestop the clerk told me "Why don't you just wait for the PSP to come out?, everyone knows it's going to blow the DS out of the water." Really? :O I want to get a DS over a PSP (big time) but I can't think of much else I am interested in other than D/P. I think I lost my interest for handhelds or something :( as the premise of all those other great DS games doesn't interest me much at all. Meh >.
Does anyone else remember the DS's incredibly dry year right after it's release? The exact same thing happened to the Wii. They both came out with one or two great games (SM64DS, Loz: Tp) then had absolutely nothing (with exceptions for paper mario and metroid) both systems greatest games came out, or are coming out in the november following the release (Mario Kart DS, AC (some people really liked it, okay?), SM galaxy, and soon SSBB.
And does anyone whos not a fanboy in utter denial not say that the DS killed the PSP in handheld wars? This is why the wii will win.
