lol resistance is going to destroy the entire 360 lineup huh? that game is the definition of average.
ninjaxams

360 HAS NO lineup. What are you talking about? Mass Effect, Halo 3 and Gears... that's it. No one gives a Pinata's rump about Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Viva Pinata, Blue Dragon, etc.

360 is old news.

Although I think your post is amusing, I do think you're wrong. The waiting game is over. there is a game out there that seperates the PS3 from the rest of the pack and it's called Uncharted. GT says it's the best looking game on consoles easily. It's a very old argument that the PS3 does not have any games. It has lots of great games. You just have to open your eyes a little more.

One thing you guys don't realize is that any person picking up a PS3 as their first next-gen console will not be disappointed. Yeah, I could understand your point if you have owned an xbox360 and you are considering a PS3 purchase as there are currently 6 exlusive games on the PS3 that are worth playing which are Uncharted, R&C, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Warhawk, and Motorstorm (this one is my favorite), but for new next-gen console owners the PS3 offers a lot of games. It has had a great first year IMO, and very soon we will see some new awesome games in 2008.

Apathetic-Irony

Uncharted, an 8 hour game, justifies the waiting for two years and $600? Okay.

And you got Gears, Mass Effect, Halo 3 and a crapload of PC shovelwear I had on my PC 3 years ago. So hooray for you. PS3 has been out for 1 year not 2 years like the 360 which STILL has nothing to show for itself except basically 3 games...two of which are buggy and blah....

Kameo? Perfect Dark Zero? Huh? Say what? Who cares.

Its currently raited as 99.4% at gamerankings and may be credited as being the best game of all time. It has almost limitless replay value. The principles behind the gameplay are ingenious, imagine a game that simulates some of the best times in your life. Remember going to the Amusement Park and waiting in a 2 hour long line to ride an awesome rollercoaster?Do you remember how much more fun it was to stand in the line than actually ride the rollercoaster? Anticipating how awesome it will be once you finally geton the ride?

How about when you go out to dinner and order your favorite entrea, your starving for your food but its taking longer than expected, your food keeps getting delayed, must be lazy cooks. But thats the fun part, waiting for your food and actually thinking, and talking about how good it will be is far far better than actually eating it.

So what is this ingenious game thats pushing the gaming industry forwardand can basically simulate these real life experiences? Its called THE WAITING GAME and it is only available for the Playstation3. Reviewers along withgamers talk in Unison when they say this may be the best game ever created. The gameplay is top notch and it has a learning curve of zero (thats right 0, anyone can pick up this game and feel like a pro). It is rumored that the game will take until halfway through 2008 tofinish.

You may be thinking to yourself how can it get any better?, this game sounds awesome. But guess what, it also happens to be the best deal in video game history. Sony is including this game for FREE with every PS3 console sold. Thats right FREE! Why would Sony do this knowing they could make millions selling this game at full price? WellBob from 4Dgraphics.com sat down with Phil Harrison to ask him some Questions about it.

BoB: Thank You for havng a chat with us Phil Harrison

Phil: its my pleasure

Bob: So gamers have been anticipating the PS3 ever since the start of the next gen gaming experience which was the launch of the xbox 360.

Phil: Well, yes we knew that our fans could have been playing next gen games a year before we released our console but luckily we convinced most of them to wait for the PS3 because it is the only console that can produce 4D graphics, and we promised games such as Resistance and gundam that would obliterate the 360's lineup.

Bob: It seems you weren't successfull at getting people to be early adopters of your console without any good games and a high price tag. Is that when you decided to reveal your biggest game of 2007?

Phil: yes we decided to make the announcement of the inclusion of the Highly anticipated The Waiting Game for free with every PS3 sold.

Bob: So who actually originally came up with the idea of this game? it is such an ingenious concept that its suprising that no other developers came up with it before.

Phil: It was our market research team that came up with the originalconcept. And then we realized we had all the necessary resources to make this a reality. loyal fanboy fans, No good games, and the continued delay of good games in the future. The most important part of making The Waiting Game is to keep giving hope to our customers that they will eventually have a good game to play. So basically the concept is that waiting for a good games is more fun than actually playing good games.

Bob: So considering your customers enjoy waiting for games more than playing them are you considering to continue to delay big titles even farther into the future.

Phil: I can't make any specefic comments about that at this time.

Bob: Thank you for talking to us

Phil: My pleasure

After talking to Phil we may be able to expect some expansion packs to THE WAITING GAME that may add much more replay value. So if you havent picked up a PS3 for this game your a fool. Expect more announcements soon.

gink101

Well our waiting game is more fun than your version called "WAITING FOR RROD"!!! haha

or maybe "WAITING FOR MASS EFFECT TO LOAD"

CAn they objectively review PS3 games?

Sure they can, when they start releasing proper ones and not over colourful CGI fests that can be finished in under 10 hours you;ll see the scores increase.

Too many games released recently seem to be trying to get the casuals back from the Wii.

TTDog

And what game might you be talking about? Halo 3 isn't on the PS3 you know.

Just so every one knows this is not a troll or me flaming the PS3 I'm actually a big Sony fan all I own is a PS3. But anyways I was listening to today's on the spot 12/4/07 and it seems that black Friday was a huge hit while PS3 did get its share of sells on black Friday the big sells came from the Wii and 360 the 360 selling 310,000 consoles as the Wii sold 350,000 consoles and if they had a larger shipment it would of sold more. Just as things where kicking up for Sony another waterfall effect has came are way for the complete sales of the console and the numbers worldwide.

Every time I go into a gaming store I see people all over the PS3s, playing them or buying them. I'd say I see about a 1 to 1 ratio of 360 to ps3 sales when I go into stores. And when I look at stock on the shelf I've been seeing the same thing... usually 2 360s on the shelf and 2 ps3 40 gbs on the shelf since Thanksgiving. I'll see one guy come in and pick up a 360 and then see another guy right behind him pick up a ps3. And the store clerks will say they are both selling very well.... this is in Los Angeles BTW. But usually the game kiosk that is being played is PS3 and there is more interest from customers around PS3 from what I've been seeing.

And when you consider that the PS3 is generally more expensive and is still selling as well as it does, then PS3 fans should know all is well. World wide the PS3 is beating 360 in sales... only in the U.S. does 360 beat PS3.

Well, Gamespot seems pretty determined to ban me so I'll just post this and read while I await the Gestapo's hammer.

How can GS give Uncharted an 8.0 and Halo 3 a 9.5? When everyone and their grandma will tell you Uncharted is the better game overall? Enquiring minds want to know?

If they gave Drake's a 9.0 I would say that is still too low but I wouldn't care. But an 8.0??? Can the reviewers here at Gamespot not objectively review a PS3 game without the anti-PS3 bias showing through?

Personally, gamespot has been discredited in my eyes for quite some time. Sheep and Lemmings can post all sorts of garbage about PS3 for days on end and not get banned. Cows get banned for simply pointing out lies. I got moderated recently for two things: pointing out how someone had faked a PS3 vs. Nintendo(N64?) comparison(maybe because I also called that fake comparison "retarded") and I also got banned for trolling on an Xbox 360 forum and pointing out how the idea that 360s die because they are connected to surge protectors is baloney because PS3's don't die when connected to surge protectors. And I got my comment deleted there for Trolling. Yet I see sheep and lemmings trolling all over the place.

So does Gamespot just want a readership of hardcore blind fanboys or what?

I'm actually glad to see things imploding on Gamespot. Maybe that will help bring some objectivity back to this site full of irrational fanboys.

Yes, I do have a story to back up the claim:

ZahrimThoth

??? That's link doesn't say he's leaving at all. I think you are mistaken. Needless to say his Uncharted review still sucks and I hope becomes more objective or DOES leave.

Ryan Davis, the GS reviewer that scored Uncharted a disappointing 8.0 is now gone from Gamespot! He did all PS3 and Uncharted fans a disservice with a lackluster review of one of the systems best games.

GOOD RIDDANCE!

It would be nice to get a re-review of the game from someone that is not biased and actually knows the genre he/she reviews in. I'm sure many feel the same way for Ratchet & Clank.

ZahrimThoth

Holy crap. I was just complaining about this over on the post from Gamespot about the Kane and Lynch thing. Especially how that guy completely screwed up the review on Uncharted which certainly derserves at least a 9 if Halo can get a 9.5. Well I second that opinion then GOOD RIDDANCE!

Will it be better? I would not buy it because if Wii had the 360 or the PS3 graphics it would be more expensive.I would invest the money on a PC. chris3116

No you wouldn't. Because if you're too cheap to buy a PS3 or 360, you sure as *** aren't going to invest $1000 in decent PC setup to play highend games. Come on now. Don't lie to us. The difference in cost between Wii and PS3/360 is only about $150 which is only the cost of 3 or so Wii games and isn't going to break most people's bank account. Cost isn't the problem. Having a "cheapo" mindset is the problem. You get what you pay for.
