-although i like it, i fail as a builder. it seems that even if you are given the tools to easily create content, you still need to have acquired some skills in design, cause imagination alone is not working.
-Im a reader and an analyst depending on the mood, but i can get irritated by adventure games and puzzle aspects of games(to hell with clank's time travelling puzzles) that result in me getting stuck.
-As i said i am certainly not an extravert. i will play a match online or lan but beyond that, a game that requires that i play it whenever it wants to unfold all of its features and not when i feel like it is not fun at all. I also despise all this social nonsense(that EA is so fond of) that started to take over many games. i don't give two damns about your autolog time or your rank in an FPS nor that you are better than me.
-completionist only when i have to gain something, some secret, extra content and such.
-certainly not an extrovert. i don't have fun being obliged to play on an MMO where its full potential unfolds if you are like forced to be there playing when the game wants you to.
- i go speed runner on a game when i have already finished it and for some reason i want to reach a certain point in it.
let me tell you what will happen, the game will fail because of all this crappy DRM stuff. EA officials wont say that its the rape of simcity that's responsible for the fail, but instead they will reach the very convenient assumption that people are not interested in city building games and eventually drop the franchise into obscurity.
the truth hurts. what it is you ask? first and foremost, those milking practices that square is so fond of has ended up in betrayal of its fans. chrono trigger's remake was cancelled when square threatened the devs with lawsuits so she could milk the exact same old game over and over again. so the same goes with FF4. secondly, a mobile device is not a handheld gaming console. playing games is just a minor function. i can't see anyone popping the iphone out in the bus to play final fantasy anytime soon. the controls are not adequate either.
as far as i know the guy who did the shooting was not a gamer. this old crook might have been waiting for an excuse, however violence in entertainment might not be completely safe. people's reaction to it may vary. i did not stop brutally violent games because i was bored. i had a problem, i saw it, i recognized it. i was affected.
