I didnt even watch the video. I am shocked that you called READING a fad. I enjoy videogames alot obviously, as I'm on this site. However, reading is what people did before TV and videogames. I believe it is still something people shoudl once in awhile. Sometimes it's nice to be able to imagine how something looks and sounds rather than have it pop up on a monitor/TV. Am I alone on this one?
I was looking at penny-arcade.com the other day and they posed an interesting question. Why do YOU play videogames? Is it to excel, or to view another art form? To kill time or to kill aliens? I'm just interested in what peoples' responses will be. For me, I find videogames are more engrossing than just watching tv, and also to see what new technology and ideas people come up with. Lemme know what you think...
