@krecikborowka @Oneturtledown @evil_snuggles I hat to point this out but if you are avoiding the Xbox because a hacker might access your camera then you should probably avoid PS4, smartphones, tablets, laptops, major cities, etc. As it stands the XBO would need a firmware update to access the camera while the system is off, which is not something a hacker can achieve. So Xbox is exactly the same as every other device with a camera: while it is on there is the possibility that the camera can be accessed. If it is off it cannot. Simple.

@Judge-Albel @malokevi Rights? We have full disclosure on the product, therefore if you buy it you accept the things you can and can't do, and you accept the trade-off between being able to sell used games for a second time like playstation and the extra features on the Xbox.

Why does it make you so angry that some people prefer one product over the other? They are a consumers with a choice and neither product is being forced on them. They will vote with their wallet.

oh and I hope you don't use iTunes for music or video, or google music or Spotify or any other similar service, because you can't even resell that content once, which you can do on the Xbox.

@evil_snuggles What the f*ck are you on about? It has already been stated that you can turn Kinect off in the XBO settings. Also when the console is off, the camera is completely deactivated and the only phrase the microphone is listening for is Xbox on. And finally, nothing captured by Kinect is uploaded to the internet (except video chat on eg Skype). This has all been confirmed by Microsoft, you are simply trolling and trying to initiate conflict. Get your facts straight.

@edinko using kinect/smartglass combo should sort out a lit of UI difficulties like inventory management and chat. You could use voice commands/ a tablet to interact witht these components. I think it was wise not to include a wiiu gamepad, it would drive up the cost and unless you make it separate to the main controller it ruins ergonomics of an otherwise excellent controller. Smartglass is there for developers to use, and users can choose which device they want to use for that experience, rather than forcing them into expensive hardware that is otherwise useless to them.

@UCFknighthood @MJ-X @Tripwolf They didn't get memo 3 years ago when everyone else stopped hating on them for vista.

Also there are some strange and poorly reasoned ideas out there about MS trying to go toward a closed ecosystem with the store. Not going to happen. Then there are people who think everything should be open source, which is ok but some people need to earn a wage off this stuff.

People didn't like the monopolistic practices of ms in the 90s to early 2000s but haven't realised they've changed a lot since then.
