I dont know....IGN Nintendo is very lenient for nintendo titles. Matt C. and Bozon are really easy on Wii games and get hyped up over everythingSonic got 6.9. That's even lower than the GameSpot review.

[QUOTE="Nintendo-Wii"]They took longer to finish the review and it seems it was cause they spent longer playing it and tried to master the controls, specifically the uber tricks rather than go "they're broken".pins_basicIGN sucks ass. GameSpot fanboy! :P
[QUOTE="KzerXtreme"]I don't think huge poly counts are as big of a deal anymore, great looking textures can now deliver the eye candy with relatively low poly counts. Look at RE4 for the gamecube, those player models and environments have enough polys to look good enough for this gen. On the other hand the textures have fallen behind, and that game is perhaps the best looking gamecube game. The reason the Wii games don't look better than GameCube games is because publishers had NO FREAKING IDEA that the Wii would become as popular as it's become until E3 at the earliest. So they've only had a few months to shoehorn their games into the Wii. Indeed. Metroid Prime 3 should show what the Wii is capable of.
I do love my Wii very much so don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I only mention this because blurry textures can make the game a little harder for me to get into, I don't need Gears of War graphics but I don't want the game to be hard for me to look at. On the bright side of things, Wii Sports is fairly sharp so there is hope.
I'm not a graphics whore, but looking at the current Wii games and upcoming ones, they may have more on screen, better framerate and longer view distance but the texture capabilities look exactly the same as Gamecube games. The exception is of course Mario Galaxy, which is why that game is always mentioned to defend the Wii.
