okay, i didn't feel like reading all 175 posts, so i skimmed through them. I have had Vista for a year (betas and RC's) and it has come a long way. It used to barely support my graphics/sound card, programs, and it had many bugs. In only a few weeks, half of my problems were fixed. Over the next months, they only improved. And for all of you complaining about compatibility issues, that is up to the manufacturers to offer updates and drivers, not MS. almost everything i use and play on my PC works, except for a few minor programs. my everyday stuff, it's all good. Games run on 32bit PCs, and Vista works on 64bit (for the effects and everything that people like about it). I looked at the stats when today's games were put to the test. Yes, XP won in almost every category, but Vista was only 3-5% behind overall. considering it had to process more and translate all the 32bit processes into 64bit ones, that means Vista will offer incredible graphics and games in a matter of weeks or months. Take Crysis, that is only a sample of what is to come. and for all you supporting Mac, i'll see you on Xbox live- oh wait, Mac isn't compatible. yeah, another great thing about Vista, you can play PC versus Xbox 360. and AMD is much better than Intel. in fact, Intel had to pay off companies to use their chips in order to stay profitable. pathetic if you ask me, but you like those Macs and their Intel whatevers. anyways, that is my opinion of vista. you guys decide what you want.
