What I don't understand in this whole "used games"-debate is why the retail stores won't just share some of the profits from sold used games with the publishers.Say gamestop for example makes $3 billion in used games sales in one year and then gives back 10% of that money to the publishers, that's $300 million or the production cost of a CoD-sized game that the publishers get back. The publishers get a cut from used sales, retailers still gets shit loads of profits, customers gets to buy cheaper games and less time, effort and money would be spent trying to get costumers to buy full priced games only and the prices of games might actually decrease.I'd say that's a win-win-win scenario, but maybe I'm just a bit naive and not enough focused on making as much money inhumanly possible...
@ExplicitMike I totally agree. Both Microsoft and Sony needs to stop trying to chase after the "casual player" and return focus to the REAL gamer. There is nothing wrong with turning the xbox360 into more of an entertainment machine in my opinion, but not at the cost of the alienating the people who made the xbox360 a success in the first place, the gamers.
@joujou264 Actually Microsoft dealt with the RRoD issue exemplary when the 360 launched, fixing and/or replacing broken 360's for free. The 360 hardware may have been rushed to release first but their customer service was top-notch.
@bl00dfist That and fan boys hyping the game for 12 years sets a perfect stage for an tremendous level of disappointment and underwhelming experiences.Blizzard may have screwed up with the servers and online service but disappointed fans only have themselves to blame.
@josecer @gkhalifa Actually you don't even need a scholarship, as long as you've been hired and have got some savings you're good to go. though of course getting a scholarship makes everything so much easier!
@gkhalifa I don't see how that would be a problem for you? There isn't really anything stopping you from moving to another country to work with games development. The beauty about the video games industry is that it's so open and non-biased about hiring international co-workers.
@vengefulwilberg I would definitly recommend you to buy NGSigma 2 instead of NG3.Just about everything that was badly designed, ruined the pacing and so on in NG2 has been redesigned and fixed in NGSigma 2, the only downside is that they somehow managed to break the camera from NG2 which worked great IMO.
