Graphics make the gameplay.

Anyway, graphics matter for everybody. Anyone who says otherwise is either a hypocritical liar or just in denial.

I disagree and I am neither a hypocritical liar nor am I in denial. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is my favorite game of all time. It may not hold up to today's graphical standards but I still consider it at the top of the list in gameplay even by today's standards. Give me old school NES and SNES classics over today's graphical powerhouses anyday.

I do. I actually play a lot more than my husband does. He wouldn't playat all if I didn't force him into it now and then.

The wire on mine got pinched under my tv so that the plastic coating came off but I just taped it with electrical tape and it works fine.

I prefer great single player experiences over multiplayer/online experiences so I'd definately say US/Canada is luckier. I love SPM. I can live without Strikers (although I will probably buy it when it comes out).

Whereas if you want something realistic, story driven and to get your teeth into, to play hours on end, etc then get a PS3 or 360

PandaSamurai

That's a common misconception. The Wii already has some great story-driven games that you can really get into, and there are even more upcoming titles that are sure to provide the same fun.

Like what games? Zelda had a decent story, but it surely wasn't story driven. I can't think of any other story-driven games for the Wii out in the US right now. For what's to come, the only games I see as story-driven at all would be Fire Emblem 10 and the possible Tales game. However, I'd also like to say that there aren't all that many 360 games that have decent stories. There's Enchanted Arms, which is engaging in that sense, Kameo to some extent, Marvel Ultimate Alliance sort of, and that's about it. The PS3 has nothing with a story worth following at the moment, except for Resistance.

Super Paper Mario and Trauma Centre are both story driven games even though one is more based on comic elements and parody. Even Godfather has a pretty good story with story elements from the movie integrated seamlessly with new story elements created for the game.

I have a somewhat related problem: if I charge the battary when it's half-full (shown by the green indicator light), would this damage the battary or shorten its life?bqefhpasdgpihw

No.  That is a myth that many people swear by although it is completely false.  DS batteries don't have the same memory effect that occured in older rechargable batteries so it is completely unnecessary to let the battery run dry before recharging.

That happened to my brother's Wii.  He didn't know what caused it but he does play gamecube games on it a lot.  I don't and mine is still very quiet.  It could be a coincidence though.  If all else fails call Nintendo customer service (which is fantastic btw) and see what they say about it.

I can say with almost 100% certainty that there will be one eventually.  That and Mario Baseball and Mario Tennis.  I mean those games were pretty fun on the gamecube but on the Wii they would be amazing.  Plus, I'm sure they would be huge sellers.  Nintendo would be crazy not to make them.  The wii was designed for these sort of games.

I prefer Super Paper Mario only because it seems a lot more fun to play through a second time.  In fact I've played through most of the levels multiple times to find everything and not once did it feel stale or boring.   I recently went back to TTYD and even though I absolutely loved it the first time I played it I just couldn't get into it the second time around. Perhaps it's too fresh in my memory.  I only played the first one once and since I barely remember it, playing it on the VC might change my mind as to which is my favorite.
