@Legend_of_Link:

I get the criticism of the animations but I'm also having a great time with it. Didn't put it down all weekend. Won't stop until I've crafted every weapon! :D

@Triton:

And most of the people with his fame and money just sit on their bling living it up so what's your point?

Maybe he's just doing it for publicity and maybe not. Either way, he made this kid's day. A kid that probably has few days left. So honestly? Who gives a sh*t if he's just doing it for the camera.

Looks gorgeous and seems like it would be an awesome candidate for VR.

Almost every commenter I've seen has complained about Battlefront being bare-bones. I still don't understand why they don't include a single player Galactic Conquest mode. They have the maps. They have the bots. All they need is a galaxy map and it's done but they're so focused on visuals (which I will admit are gorgeous) that they're missing the meat. Where's the beef!

My feeling is that more and more devs are not seeing "Going Gold" as the end of development, just the launch of whatever they have done at that time with the intent of adding more content later (and sadly it's usually paid content).

I think Danny's point is still valid since us older gamers are used to a released game being complete with only patches to come thereafter and full on expansions a year or so later. Nowadays, it's so easy for them to add bits of weekly content that the boxed game doesn't need to be as developed.

It's not a bad model assuming that extra content isn't just paid DLC but the expectation of getting your money's worth straight out of the box is still there, at least for the older fogies like me (36).

As others have expressed, BFBC2 was the last BF game I liked. I tried BF3 briefly but it didn't grab my attention for more than a few hours.

Characters with character FTW!

Ah memories of catholic school. Our teacher, as proof that Led Zeppelin's music was evil, played sections backwards and insisted he was saying "I live for the devil"...

+1 for waiting till next year.

The only game so far that has me really excited for next gen is Destiny. When that comes out I may consider buying.

Favorite F2P: Mechwarrior Online.

Technically it's out of Beta but it's still lacking long-term content. That said, it's great big stompy robot fun.
