I think a lot of it has to do with the animation coupled with good writing. There are often pop culture references in the show and the developers have been very good to the fanbase. I think some of it also has to do with the fact that, like it or not, this cartoon seems decent. Nothing MLP has ever been decent. This paradox alone is sure to gain some people's attention.

I only cry when it's something worth crying about it and even then I usually do it by myself. I tend to keep things in. I don't think it's a weakness though.

The one thing I hate about it? That "everyone around me is stupid, I just make lower grades because I don't try" mentality. So many peers consider themselves intellectuals off the singular fact that they don't try hard enough. I mean, I get not trying your hardest. We've all done that. But to be pretentious enough to assume everyone else who fails is an idiot and you're just lazy? That's the one thing I hate.
