You work for a company that rates a lot of these extremely gory games in high regard. And sometimes people listen to that. Yeah, games can be creative and tell great stories and even use violence in "beautiful" ways, but it all boils down to education and parenting.

For instance, Gears of War is a fun series. But story? Not really deep or meaningful. But due to the lack of education and America "smarts" if you will, the series still sells well. Because there are a lot of dumb people out there. Until we find a balance where we can create games that intrigue the intellectual and just the gore hounds this problem is going to keep coming up.

On another note, some people just like to have fun. Do you not watch 90's action films because there are ridiculous stories and explosions etc.? No, it's because it's fun to do.

Dude. These people obviously don't want the fun. If you stop a bunch of people from fake shooting people, how else are you supposed to get over a bad day of work? This whole plot against games is ultimately going to release a bunch of pent up psychos into the world, because they can't release their emotions with activites.

Next thing you know they will start fighting people who play Monopoly because it makes them money hungry, or Tetris because they can hoard easier. Give me a freaking break.

No way. The weakest FF in terms of pretty much everything, especially story and characters, and they won't kill it? I'm never touching another FF game again.
