As I understand it, it was a huge impulse decision for him. He said the reason he picked it over the 360 was because he knew it could play PlayStation 2 games (obviously not the one he bought) and his PS2 was on its last stretches of life. He figured that he might as well get a PS3 and upgrade while still being able to play old games.

It does look like he's been screwed though. I'll have to let him know Monday.

Yeah, we all know that, but that's not my main question. A friend of mine, or rather, a teacher of mine (Chemistry, and yes, it does seem wierd sometimes) bought a Ps3. Part of the reason for his purchase was to be able to play some of his old PlayStation 2 games. When he bought a 40 Gig at GameStop, the clerk negelected to tell him this wouldn't be possible.

I figured I'd ask for him, but is there any special update that would add the emulator? OR has he just been screwed over completely? He's had it for about a month or two.

I set my system to 480p for PS2 games anyway, so I can't really say. It's okay having bars for some games, but I don't like it with Shadow of the Colossus.

It's only an investment at this point.

Just keep it, not everything is better on 360 (i.e. Dirt, Oblivion)

And then, you'll also have access to all of the exclusives and early access to games like UT3.

I preferred the MechWarrior series on PC and arcade. Especially Arcade.

I thought about trying to attach it to one of my rifles, but that'd cause issues with reaching buttons in every way I've thought about. It seems like the best bet would be to attach one to a zapper.

I've seen quite a few of them locally. I live in New England, and it seems like we've had a good supply of consoles from all three companies. Of course, I don't live in one of the bigger cities.

So, I'm planning on getting all of the upcoming railed shooter games, like Ghost Squad and Umbrella Chronicles, right? But, the thing is, I know from playing airsoft that guns feel much better to handle when they have stocks. So, unless anyone knows of an upcoming lightgun attachment that might feature one, does anyone have any ideas for possibly creating a stock for the first party Wii Zapper?

With that logic, every game would be a 7.5. There are verrry few games that are universally loved by EVERYONE who plays video games. There are games like Halo which appeal to a lot of shooter fans, but not necessarily to RPG fans. By saying that it potentially loses 3 points because it's not widely appealing basically says that games like halo and gears of war shouldn't be anywhere near what their scores are.

Gah, I take my vote back, I DO own two.

A long time ago, I bought Final Fantasy Tactics because it looked fun; it wasn't. Last week, I bought Final Fantasy XI; same story.

I do own and enjoy Kingdom Hearts though, which must count for something. I've also played FFX, FFX-2 and FFXII, which I liked.
