Thanks! I was wondering what those symbols were, haha. Yes, I was *VERY* young when I first played this at a friend's house (5th grade). I remember spending the entire day at his house playing this. Now I can finally try to beat it, slowly.

Looks awesome. Graphics don't matter. I'm playing Twisted Metal 2 right now (PSone classics download) and it's loads of fun. I wish I could save in tournament mode (can you?). When I die, I have to start over :(

^ Pricey, and no fans? Is it worth 2x price of a Freezer Pro or Xigmatek?

I'll end up flipping a coin for the heatsinks.

What memory should I get ? Need at least 4GB. I was looking at DDR2 1066

I don't care about noise; I'm taking this desktop to college dorm (no air conditioning :( ), along with a $400 cheapo laptop.

Going to use the desktop for when I have a personal fan running + roommate is awake. Otherwise, laptop will do schoolwork.

I'm debating on the fan now; the xigmatek is higher rated + cooler temps, just 5 more dollars at NewEgg ($12 more if I buy a separate bolt-kit).

Only problem is, will it fit in the case?

Antec 900, eh? I'll check it out in a sec.

mastershake, that I like the case you mentioned (Cooler Master). Is it possible to do a small window mod on it?

Hmm, that CPU only has 1MB L2 Cache. When I'm not gaming, I'm going to have heavy apps running (CAD, Photoshop, engineering apps, etc.). Not enough to justify a quad-core, but I need at least 6MB L2 cache.

I might throw in a Xigmatek fan/heatsink for the CPU (Keep it an E8400).

The rest look. 32MB cache on that HDD will be awesome :)

Quick question; the Corsair 550W is good quality, but is it possible to upgrade it to a 600W or 650W? In case I install

an extra component or something (or OC E8400).

mastershake575

The L2 cache wont' make as much difference as you think it would as long as the speeds are good. Also stick with the freezer pro since its a better heatsink. Finally that powersupply I listed you is one of the best you can buy, your whole system will use about 28 out of the 41 amps it can output so its easily fine

What if I leave everything the same from your recommendations, just get a E8400 for the heck of it (leave it at 3ghz stock for now). DDR2 1066 RAM and the 550W will be fine, correct?

And would I need any case fans?
