When I was about 11 (I'm 29 now) I was playing Nintendo with my friend, Anthony. I got so mad I whipped the controller into his face and broke one of his front teeth. I still feel bad about it to this day. Controller rage is not good.

It was okay but it wasn't anywhere near game of the year...at least I hope something better comes out this year. Actually Stalker is already a better game that came out this year.

Let me point out some flaws since I am one of the only people on this thread who don't work for the games publisher.

When you are strafing and walk into a table and you guy just slides across it for no reason other than you walked into a table, it kind of takes you out of the game because it feels so silly. When there are multiple tables strewn about the STREET and you are sliding all over the place it gets comical.

Bullet time is played out and adding in the stars to encourage cool kills doesn't exactly make it fresh.

It was an arena game- meaning you enter an arena, fight all the guys there, kill them all, a door magically opens and you move through it to the next arena, rinse and repeat.

Controls were alright, would be cool with the Wii-remote but that's not going to happen.

I did like the way it gave you special moves like healing and the aiming move and there is no doubt going to be some strategy when you have that all filled with special moves like which one should be used and when.

Comparing this to Bioshock is silly. Bioshock will crush this game as will Halo 3, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Smash Bros, even Assassins Creed would beat this game out for game of the year. This game is a solid game that will appeal to some but nothing special.

Halo 3!!!! ROFL. Wow you do know what you are talking about, lol.

Yeah I do. Check the reviews for Halo 3 and check the reviews for Stranglehold, then check the sales figures and then right after that check the amount of people playing the game online a year from now and finally 3 years later check and see which game people still talk about. Guaranteed Halo 3 sells more, gets better reviews, has more people playing a year from now and in three years no one will even remember Stranglehold. Sorry that you work for Midway and your dream of hyping this game just died.

Well in a way I do. I have a 1080p 37inch HDTV that I use for not only my 360 but as a computer monitor as well. I also use it for TV and my Wii.

Can someone tell me why I should buy the best game of this generation?

Can we stop pretending like there is a single player vs. multiplayer debate? We all know both can be fun experiences depending on a variety of factors.

Bioshock is going to embarrass Halo 3. I'm sure all the Halo fans will cry and whine that the multi-player makes Halo 3 sooo much better but Halo 3 multiplayer is going to be embarrassed this year by Team Fortress 2.

Sorry Halo fans, Bioshock pwned your game.

axes03

who the hell are you, judging a game before you even played it? Bioshock and Halo 3 are both sweet games, and you are pwning yourself for not buying halo 3. Watch halo 3 score higher than bioshock.

You haven't played Halo 3 and you are judging it

I actually played the beta and based off the beta it's already a great game. But, seeing as to how they are adding so many new things (forge, weapons, vehicles) it will be way better than just the beta. I'm judging halo 3 from what i've played. The beta alone was better than glitchy laggy gears. You are going to be embarassed by dissing halo 3.

you still havent played the SP,all of the MP and YOU DIDNT PLAY BIOSHOCK!stop it,your embarassing yourself.

but by playing the beta, WE ALREADY know the controls and gameplay IS PERFECT, just add in better graphics from those screenshots and the story elements and you have a sure fire hit, but we have no idea how bioshock will play. ill probably get both, thats why 360 owns

The controls and gameplay are perfect after playing the multiplayer beta? That's how you feel about it but it doesn't mean it's true. I found the controls to be okay for a console FPS but that in itself means they are imperfect and the gameplay is SLOW. Wait till Unreal 3 comes out and you will see how an FPS can move without feeling like you are running in water. Halo has always been average at best as an FPS, a lot of people like it because it is so easy to feel like you are good at the game. Those same people who are good at Halo would get dominated in Unreal Tournament, Quake, Battlefield, Counter Strike, etc. (unless of course they also play those games a lot.)

Bioshock will have a stronger story, better setting, more dynamic gameplay, and way better graphics. So Halo 3 has a standard online mode that has been out for how many years now? Wow, can't wait to capture one more flag in updated but still sub-par graphics.

So of course I haven't played Bioshock yet but that's fine, let's wait and see how the games review and what awards they get. Bioshock will get all the accolades and Halo will get all the suckers buying it. Years from now people will be talking about Bioshock and Halo 3 will be the Contra 3 of the Contra series, a cool game no doubt but nothing special.

Again, Bioshock will embarrass Halo 3. I say embarass because this is supposed to be Halo's year but all these games (Bioshock, Mass Effect, UT3, GTA4, Mario Galaxy) are going to come out with better quality and care and expose Halo for the mediocre game it is.

its still coming out, they just opened the main site and have been putting updates on it consistenly. They just had some new screens the week before E3.

It wasn't at E3 though. Maybe it will be shown at the Nintendo event with Smash Bros. in a month or so.

Ah ha that guy said Too Human is better than not just Half Life 2, one of the greatest games of all time but it is also better than episode one, episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal!

That has to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard a person say while discussing video games.

Honestly the only two games that are coming out that are sure to be better than the Orange Box is Bioshock and Mass Effect.

Halo 3 and GTA 4 still have a lot to prove after E3.

Assassins Creed features countless women, who all look the same, carrying pots on their head. If Half Life 2 featured that type of copycat NPC, Valve would quit making games out of embarassment- UBI Montreal does not share that type of quality.

The kids who have played non-stop Halo/Halo 2 will continue to play that online because it's the only game they can be good at. Everyone else who wants more than the slow paced, played out Halo action will be on TF2 alllllllllllllll day and having a lot more fun.

Too Human? ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

I was really impressed by Metroid Prime 3 and can't wait to try it with the wii remote. I was worried by some of the screen shots I had been seeing prior to E3 because the game didn't look good graphically. After seeing the off-screen videos on IGN I think the game looks amazing (for a Wii) and everything about it looks awesome.

Going in to E3 I was looking for Bioshock and Assassins Creed the most but now I am really looking forward to Metroid and Mass Effect. I will still be getting Bioshock on day one but Assassins Creed left me with some concerns.

So yeah, MP3.
