@Godendag Well people will cite that something like 48% of the gaming population is female. But are they counting female gamers who play FPSers, RTS, and adventure games, or just female gamers who log into a Facebook game once a week or plays WTF or something of that sort?
You don't need a flashy game that last 8-20 hours, and spend 100 million making it.
If the current kickstarter thing has shown if you have a decent looking game, and make it full of interesting gameplay on the cheap.
Hell I'm surprised that publishers haven't started a 'small budget' division. Basically a 8-15 million dollar games made in the same idea as games from the past.
The tools used to make the classic games of long ago have gotten better and easier to use. As seen with the Unity engine.
If Ubisoft wants my respect they would fund small time developers making meaningful games, and allow them to do what they want.
I hope its Agent, a new Bully game, and a new Red Dead. Mafia III sounds like fun if they move the setting forward to the 60s and 70s. Like how they did Mafia II with the 40s and 50s.
A Noire game would be cool if it was set in SF during the late 1960s mid 1970s. SF is a pretty underused city, and a lot of interesting things where happening then there. You could have everything from political radicals to biker gangs to the Zodiac Killer.
