If you go with the GTX760 it's either http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N760-TF-2GD5-OC.html#specification MSI TF or Gigabyte http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4663#sp

Both brands are equal in core clocks and boost as well.

So you don't think its worth it to pay the extra $100 for the 770 and 4gb ram?

@Mikedogg05: If that is the case you could bump up to a 770 and run pretty much anything at that resolution... I am not an expert at this stuff, but others will correct if needed.

in that case Im going to go with GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB.

Does that sound like a good choice for the money or does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.

Hmmm, in that case, what card would you recommend getting if im trying to go PC for next-gen, not console, and want to play some new games that come out in 1920x1200. Or can the 760 still pull it off so i can smoothly play next-gen for a while to come? if its REALLY worth it id go up to a $400 budget or so, but if its not going to change much i might as well stay with the 760 and i would be happy with that.

so this EVGA 04G-P4-2768-KR GeForce GTX 760 4GB for $300 or GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-2GD Radeon R9 270X 2GB for $209. I know the first one will obviously outpreform the second one, but is it worth the 90 dollars? I'd like to save 90 bucks if it will only gain about 5 fps. but if its a huge difference i'd rather pay the 90 extra. Thanks everyone for the help.

Alright I'll probably go with that one. might as well pay 40 bucks more for double the VRAM. Is my "AMD Phenom II x4 3.4ghz" going to slow it down? is it worth getting this card with that or should i be upgrading my CPU?

Hey, i was looking at the GIGABYTE GV-N760OC-2GD REV2.0 GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit

but i havent bought a card in years and the one i have now is a GTX 460, any suggestions or is this a good card? Will this be able to play the "next-gen" games smoothly for a couple years to come? Also i noticed its a PCI express 3? I'm guessing that won't fit in my PCI express 2 mobo?

Thank you.
