Thanks for the replies. I have one more question, will I notice any huge performance difference during gaming whether going with Phenom II or Bulldozer?

Games like Witcher 2, Skyrim, Shogun 2, BF3, etc.

For the newer games I don't know their core usage. But probably not.

I wouldn't worry about it. A 750W power supply should be able to run that setup just fine.

Although the price is high, the case is totally worth it. Although you may as well go with the Full Tower too ;3

i reccomend you dont spend more than £30 or $40. theres just no need to spend any more.

Imo cheap cases have a tendency to have cheap metals, which hold in heat.

I said that, but the Phenom II is much cheaper and only performs a little bit worse. Also, mainstream computing doesn't mean a ton of multitasking. The phenom II is way more than enough for an average person's multitasking.

Seeing as how I am probably the Queen of multitasking, I wouldn't know what average multitasking is >;D

For multitasking, I'd go with bulldozer by far o.o actually people who build computers "just for gaming" are only utilizing like what? 5% of what a computer can do? lol

SF_KiLLaMaN

Did you read the OP? For gaming.

Actually I did, but clearly you did not.

"For gaming and mainstream computing reasons which one would be a better choice?"

and by the way the 8 core processor outperforms the AMD Phenom II 6 core processor. Just an FYI

If you ever plan on doing this for PS3 two things you want to keep in mind, the PS3 usesHDCP which chances are you wont be able to record or capture video with HDMI. So you will want to do it through composite or AV cables.

Air Cans are a waste of money. Say hello to your new friend, the Metro DataVac. ( Use outdoors not indoors. ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ2OA8NT2HE

Cases that are easy to clean and disassemble, the NZXT Phantom ( easiest by far ) and I think the Silverstone Raven 2 and 3 series has some pretty easy to take apart options but I could be wrong.

Cwagmire21

I haven't bought a can of compressed air in awhile, but assuming this electric duster lasts several years, it's definitely a better buy (assuming one isn't afraid of taking PC outside)

You can use it inside. But if you are blowing dust around with anything, I recommend a facemask and possibly goggles ( no one likes dust in the eye :D ) But I recommend outside due to the fact that you aren't really keeping a clean environment both for yourself and your computer by using it indoors. Possibly you are also creating yourself more work when doing general cleaning of your workspace/room/etc.

You'll want the 6670

ChubbyGuy40

That is a good one, let us see what others come up with. The lower the power the better. My main issue is the dual DVI and cost.

My next purchases will revolve around 2x 8" Lilliput 869GL Monitors

and ergotron my 3rd Dual LX Mounting Arm ( Sadly I only need the arm pieces lol )
