@Jaysonguy: No need to be rude- it's obviously frustrating and I was curious if anyone else on the forum had a similar issue and what their experience was.

It's a punishing game- it doesn't give you auto saves or fill in the every blank for you. It demands a lot out of you as a gamer, and gives a ton back.

I know many people probably don't like playing their games this way- but I played along to EpicNameBro's walkthrough of Bloodborne. Given that the game can be frustrating if you don't know where to go/continually miss shortcuts, it helped maximize my time with the game without feeling like I was wasting time.

Bloodborne is by far my favorite game of this generation. I was fond of Dark souls, didn't play too much of Demon's Souls.

Bloodborne's combat is superior to everything else I've played- even the Witcher 3's updated controls for it's combat lack the responsiveness, weight, and strategy associated with using new weapons.

I get that Bloodborne isn't for everyone. But I absolutely loved the horror setting- I went back and played a bit of dark souls and honestly, didn't enjoy it that much because of BB's superior pace and setting. It can be a frustrating experience, but it also can be such a rewarding one that it'll change your outlook on games. JMO

I had a PS3 slim (g1) and never had any issues with it. Bought my Playstation about a month ago and now- light turns on blue, then the unit powers itself down. Tried other power cords/outlets, etc. but no luck.

I'm sending it into Sony repair, but they said it'll take 5 business days (a week) for me to recieve the box, 3 days to ship it back, and 10 business days (two weeks) to repair it, and another 3 days to ship it back. So a three week period for the repair. Freaking sucks!

I've always been a Playstation fan but never had issues with the reliability of my console. The PS4 seems like a cool piece of hardware, but its fan is ridiculous. Not sure if my issue has to do with overheating, but I'm simply not as confident in it as I was the ps3 slim.

Anyone else had this issue? If so, how did it get fixed for you?

New update- I think the 1.05 update actually worked, I started receiving an 80010514 error, goit that fixed, and now dark souls boots to an all black screen like before. I hate sony customer support! maybe this is a clue to switch to pc gaming..

just deleted my save game data and the same thing happens...ridiculous. i don't even want to play the game anymore, every single other game plays absolutely fine and for whatever stupid reason dark souls won't load or play at all. sorry for the frustration vent

edit: just popped in borderlands. it prompted me download a 1.05 patch for that game as well (wtf?) but I did it and it worked fine! WTF would download an 11 mb patch for dark souls cause my system crash, as though it's overheating or something

Thanks for the reply. I tried deleting my game utility but it still did the same thing- shut my ps3 down when I clicked to load the patch. I may just delete my save game data just to see if it will work- ridiculous though

I can't even get into the game. THat would suck if my saved data was corrupted, but at least the game would be playable. Maybe I should try backup my saved data, then deleting it, and seeing if the game will load? I'm not sure how to back up saved data to storage media but maybe it's worth a try.

also how would it have gotten corrupted? this is the first time i've played my ps3 in a few months, i haven't done anything
