V-sync locks the fps at the refresh rate, to prevent tearing.

MY rig is:

Intel Core2Duo E6600 2.4ghz

4G Corsair XMS

SLI EVGA 8800GTX

EVGA 680i SLI motherboard

400G HDD

1680X1050 Resolution (standard)

I don't understand why my fps maxes and stays at 60 on most games, for example, World of Warcraft isn't a very hard game to run graphically now adays and i should be well above 60 but it just is fixed at 60 fps. I know technology pretty well so please tell me your opinion i'm just stumped on this one.
